If the Doctor deems it ok, then it is ok. He is the only qualified person to make that decision at that moment.

Hasim RahmanA hematoma above Hasim Rahman's left eye forced the ref to go to the judges' scorecards during the eighth round.Al Bello/Getty Images

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Evander Holyfield is still every bit a warrior at age 39. He's also back in the heavyweight picture, with a little help from his hard head.

Holyfield used his hands and head to fight his way back into title contention Saturday night, winning a technical decision against Hasim Rahman after swelling on the side of Rahman's forehead grew to the size of a baseball in the eighth round.

That was good MMA'ing from the Doc. Show obvious concern, do your checks, determine the danger - and go from there.

Beats that red-headed biatch back in the day stopping fights over paper-cuts.

retardcontrol - Does anyone know what would happen if an elbow landed on one of those and split the skin open?

That was a good article until he dropped this bomb of stupidity: "Now, if the UFC would just institute Olympic-style year-round drug testing..."

Yeah, that's a GREAT idea, so there will be like 12 fucking guys left in the UFC. *facepalm*

Mark Hominick is not a little boy, but a full grown adult and can make big boy decisions for himself. If he wants to fucking fight and take a risk, he should be able to make that choice.
