 I've been thinking a lot about those issues of power mentioned in the first article.  I think Tolkien was right of course about the nature of power.  I think the nature of this fallen world is that all interactions are a matter of power relations.  This was what Nietszche was essentially pointing out.  But there is a counter argument that the peace of Christ is a rhetoric of beauty rather than power, and that beauty draws a person in without compromising their freedom or twisting their personhood in submission (remember how Saruman was twisted when he thought he would share power with Sauron).  This is basically the argument of David Bentley Hart's The Beauty of the Infinite, which I mentioned on other threads.  A lot of Christian intersctions with the world are characterized by power and force unfortunately and I think that is what the anarchist critique is all about.
