sometime a go someone(i think it was ABE FROMAN) posted a trick to load Youtube faster.

i cant remember completely but i think it involved editing something in the registry so that your browsers always translates http://www.youtube.com into whatever IP address.

OR SOME SHIT.

anyway lately the youtube site fails to load completely in all the browsers i have installed.

seems like it fails to load a style sheet or something and half loads into an old school layout of just hyperlinks.

i cant even load embedded or linked to videos in any of my browsers.

i can load all other flash based sites like dailymotion no problem. its just youtube.

so i figure it was that registry entry that is fucking it up.

any idea of what i did?

Maybe open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in notepad and see if there's anything related to youtube in there.
