Ants are bad in my yard this year.

Somehow they found their way into my laptop. I get about 3 a day climbing on my screen or down my leg. WTF?

Didn't leave it out in the yard.

I don't eat food over it.

Considered putting it in freezer, but moisture may expand. hmm.

What to do?

Yeah, ants are attracted to some electronics. We don't have the problem in tahoe (where we've got GIANT mountain ants) but I visited my parents and some of the little ones attacked my laptop.

There is some debate about why, but the best thing to do is shut it off at night and put it in a location where there are no ants.

I had ants in my mouse. I noticed a few in my house and then at work I noticed about a dozen ants throughout the morning crawling on my screen. I opened up my mouse and found about 30 small black ants - they had even laid eggs in it.
