Do you know much about your Voice IE 360 program?

Not a ton of details, as I'm a security/R&S guy. I know that its a pre-test/placement then the cisco 2 part live classes + rack time + labs. I believe (and I'd have to check with the sales folks) that if you do the classes you get a free retake if you fail the first lab.

I wish I could come this year, but we're expecting twins around that time.

I may end up needing to go to the one in Europe or Asia with my schedule, ugh! (Not that I would complain one bit, heh.)

be prepared for the riots.

http://www.eweek.com/c/a/IT-Infrastructure/Cisco-Could-Cut-Up-to-5000-Jobs-in-August-Gleacher-Analyst-833684/

Cisco, which is in the midst of a significant reorganization, could cut as many as 5,000 jobs in hopes of saving $1 billion, Gleacher analyst Brian Marshall said in a research note.

Cisco Systems may cut as many as 5,000 jobs in August, the latest significant move as the networking giant looks to reorganize its business and improve its bottom line, according to market research firm Gleacher & Co.

In a research note July 11, Gleacher analyst Brian Marshall said the job cuts could rival the 8,000 layoffs that Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO) initiated in 2001, soon after the Internet market crash. In this case, the 5,000 job cuts to the company’s 73,000-strong workforce would be painful but necessary, Marshall said, saving Cisco about $1 billion annually.

it gets worse.

http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2011/07/12/tech-cisco-10000-jobs/

* Cisco could cut as many as 10,000 jobs, or roughly 14% of its overall workforce, to keep profits up: 7,000 jobs would go by the end of August, with another 3,000 staffers receiving early-retirement packages for accepting buyout offers. (Bloomberg Businessweek)
