Jorge Rivera was a guest on Ariel Helwani's The MMA Hour this morning and had some unfortunate news - his opponent Alessio Sakara was out of their UFC 133 fight. MMA Fighting reporter Mike Chiappetta quickly followed up with a tweet verifying the info.

Results of an MRI conducted today confirmed that Alessio Sakara has torn his ACL and will be out a minimum of six to eight months, a representative from American Top Team confirmed today with MMAjunkie.com.

It's the third time a scheduled bout between the middleweights has been sacked. The fighters first were supposed to meet at UFC 118 before Rivera broke his arm and was forced to withdraw. A second meeting was canceled when Sakara fell ill just hours before UFC 122.

In training today Alessio dislocated his knee pretty bad. Don't know how that will effect training but he was in great pain

"I don't get upset," said Jorge Rivera. "It's part of the business and part of the game," explained Rivera. "As long as I can get another fight for that card and continue on, I just take it in stride. It's not the end of the world. It's the third time. The first time I broke my arm, the second time he got sick and this time he tore his ACL. It's just a fight that the MMA Gods don't want to happen, so it's not going to happen - Its just not meant to be."

ChokeEmOut - Put Wanderlei in there, he needs to redeem that disgraceful performance from before and Rivera is a striker too.

Zuffa make it happen.

Won't happen last thing anyone wants to see right now is Rivera knockout Wanderlei.

"Think Maiquel Faicao may have to be brought back."

I think everyone wants to see Falcao back after that performance where he did a marvel vs capcom "tech hit" and crushed the guys throat so he couldnt recover in between rounds.

^he trains with ATT in Florida. Every injury is checked by UFC doctors. But I like the little image inside your child's brain of Sakara calling Zuffa from Rome pretending to have a hurt knee while trembling with fear at images of Jorge Rivera.

Guys for the last time, at that level no-one is scarred to fight. It is what they do for work. I train with Jorge he wasn't scarred when he broke his arm before the first match up, when Alessio got some crazy flu before the fight in Germany he wasn't scarred. Shit happens.
