We sign Abreyu Franklin, NT and LeRon McLain, FB.

Both guys fit, and are a need and can be had without paying top dollar. No one else needs a NT, LeRon is a fullback that wants carries. Oh yes, they will be Chiefs!

Also, how about Steve Breaston? With Bowe and Baldwin, they can now be called the 'Killer B's!" haha

DANGEROUS!

They have had two very good drafts as well.

I'm really high on the Chiefs for this season. The addition of Franklin would be huge. Glenn Dorsey and Tyson Jackson could have break out years if they sign the big man.

It would help Jerrell Powe to sit for a year as well imo.

Personally, I'd love for my Cowboys to sign Franklin so Ratliff can move over and play 5 technique :)

Looks like it'll be Kelly Gregg for at least a year.
Enamoratu, that might work. Sounds beastly.
Man, i'm stoked for this season.

We lost Shaun Smith, but Allen Bailey will do what he did at end, and Powe will take over what time he put in at NT.
We lost Vrabel, but Andy Studebaker is ready to take over.
We lost Brian Waters, but we drafted Asomoah just for this!

So I expect no dropoff in talent, We gained some speed and depth. We will still have a hard time making the playoffs with our schedule, though.

I'm also not sure what's up at RT. Barry Richardson?

Chiefs won't be touched in the west this season.  12-4 maybe 11-5

If Kelly Gregg can recapture some of his form from a few years ago that will be a good signing. He needs to stay healthy as well.

Right now it looks like Richardson is the starter at right tackle. There are still guys like Matt Light, Willie Colon and Ryan Harris available in free agency so who knows what might happen there.

Waters is a big loss but he's not getting any younger. Asamoah should fill the gap pretty well.

I'd actually expect Justin Houston, the 3rd round pick to be the starter at outside linebacker opposite Hali by about week 6.

Houston hasn't shown up for camp yet. Studebaker is more than ready and has already taken the leadership role.

the chiefs will be just like the Dophins a couple years ago after they won the division......they will be a better team this year than last but have a worse record

totally agree.

Better team, just the record wont show it. The Chiefs have a brutal schedule this year.

This.

I think the loss of Charlie Weis will hurt the team more than most expect.

Yes. Berry was a tough loss, though.

This is life in the NFL from one year to the next. One season you're the hammer... then the next season you're the nail with a couple ill timed injuries and some unlucky breaks.

I hate the injury to Charles. I know Thomas Jones' mom and dad. The only positive to me might be that TJ could possibly have a decent season now as the #1 back. I feel like his career numbers are starting to get pretty close to HOF #'s. I figure a couple of thousand more career yards and he would be hard to keep out of the hall despite never being a big name guy.

Haley is an idiot. Souring on Pioli as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see Haley gone within the next 2 years.
