This is a great match-up, possibly a FOTN in the making.

I am gonna go with Kampmann on this one. I think he is going to come out with something to prove after his last 2 fights. He is more technical on the feet and I am not too impressed with Story's defensive wrestling. I expect Kampmann to take him down as well. Also, IMO kampmann is the better submission grappler.

This sucks. One of my favorite fighters, Kampmann, against my most disliked, Story. Story will no doubt play the hug against the cage and hold down gameplan to a decision.

Maybe Fitch vs Hendricks and Koscheck vs Peirce? I would have rather seen Koscheck vs Story and Peirce vs Kampmann.

Unfortunately, I think you are wrong. Story is the king of hugging against the cage and will be significantly stronger than Kampmann, so will likely win the takedown battle. Story's like a skilled bodybuilder in there grappling. He's nothing special, but he'll overpower people. I think Kampmann will work his tail off, but Story will avoid subs and win a decision.

He marginally beat Osipczak with control prior to that. Maybe against lesser competition, he was some beast. But put him in with a skilled grappler and striker like Kampmann is gonna make Story's gameplan pretty obviously a clinch and control fest.

DFW is playing with himself if he thinks this has FOTN potential. Story has played it very safe since he's been moving up the ranks. There is absolutely no way he is not gonna do a lot of clinching and ground control on a guy like Kampmann. This matchup wastes Kampmann's talents.

after he beat my boy Thiago with that bullshit wall and stall Strong mofo for sure but that was the cheesiest cheapest win I have seen against Thiago and really fucked him over.
Granted Thiago should have seen it coming but I think he was really fooled into think it was going to be a standup trading fight
Hope Kapman is able to beat him and doesn't get the same treatment since Kapmann needs the win here badly

Amen. I felt really bad for Thiago Alves. I know he screwed up getting clinched so much, but it was such a bullshit strategy and win. I became a big hater of his after that.

Kampmann needs a win. Could be an exciting fight if Story wants to participate.
