Does Yushin Okami honestly stand a chance at dethroning Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva on Aug. 27, 2011, in Rio de Janiero, Brazil in the main event of UFC 134?

The oddsmakers certainly don't think he does, inserting "The Spider" as the huge favorite at -460.

That's probably because the veritable king of Brazil has defeated all 13 of his Octagon opponents via every form of finish you can imagine. He's shucked and jived, blitzed and battered, and wrapped and wrangled his way through every foe ensnared in his web.

The last man that walked to the cage to fight him and walked away without a loss was none other than the man that will be standing across the cage from him this Saturday.

But that hasn't instilled any confidence in the oddsmakers who have Okami as the heavy underdog at +365.

I do not see anyway Okami beats Silva. None. If it happens my jaw will hit the floor. If it happens I will have to wonder if Silva is now near the end of his prime and in the start of a decline. I hope this does not happen. Phone Post

If he did happen to beat Anderson - Anderson would get an immediate rematch right?

Okami is a good fighter, but he's pretty much just like a beta version of Chael that doesn't get caught in submissions. His one chance is a 5 round hold-down and I don't think he's capable. Phone Post

Okami is a much better submission grappler but not as good a wrestler as Chael and not as aggressive with either tds or GNP.

He likely wont get subbed by Anderson (though dont sleep on Anderson's guard) but he wont be aggressive enough to get Anderson down enough times imo.

This.

Okami would have to catch Silva with a Kimura or land a Mike Russow shot out of nowhere.

I don't get it. Isn't Okami the greatest Japanese fighter that ever lived?
