Question for Eddie. No doubt your school is legit. You have a lot of students who train hard every day. My question is; how long until you have an adcc champ in your school? Do you think your students get over looked by adcc because of politics? Do you have anyone in your school who can hang with the cobrinhas, mendes, gunnars, etc. of today? Phone Post

What I want to know is, are there any students there who are world class level grapplers? I know there are several guys who got started in other schools and now train regularly at 10P. But are there any pure bred 10P grapplers who have never touched a gi that can compete with the best ?

What kind of ADCC politics? If you win a trial you're in the big show. No politics there.

I understand how trials work. But as far as I know, not many 10P guys have been "invited" to compete.
That's what I mean by politics. Phone Post

Denny Prokopos has been with 10th Planet since he was 14 or something like that.

He was invited to ADCC but was injured.

He was previously the No-gi Mundials Brown Belt Champion, the No-gi Mundials Black Belt Bronze medalist, and the 2010 FILA 65kg World Champion.

I would say that's pretty good.

Not on topic but I think this is a good/bad a place to post as anywhere:

10th Planet well have 6 of it's blackbelts competing at the nogi worlds coming up some brown belts and a whole bunch of purples and blues. I'm curious to see how it all turns out.

It seems like the only places you'll find 10th planet techniques is in the beginner divisions and the internet.

 He used the main path of the rubber guard to score against Werdum and win the ADCC +99kg.   He also used a textbook 10th Planet setup to beat Daniel Gracie at the NY Ultimate Absolute.

Here's what Vinny tweeted after ADCC:

@VinnyMMA
Vinny Magalhaes
Went 2 10thPJJ HQ weeks b4 the ADCC, @eddiebravo gave some tips on how 2 use my RG, then i used it to win my final match.RG doesnt work huh?

Here's the text that ended up against the right margin in that last post (for people with smaller screens):

So if he grabs his shin with an overhand grip, it's just an omoplata, but an underhand grip makes it teh deadly rubber guard? Surely, he would not have stood a chance against Werdum without this revolutionizing detail ...

I love it. Vinny Magalhaes wins the ADCC +99kg division. He directly attributes the techniques to 10th Planet, and the 10th Planet Haters are still scrambling for excuses.
