Big Pun - I have it on Xbox and haven't had any issues. Plus I'd rather take a graphics loss and play from my recliner than to have to sit in front of a PC for hours on end.

I use my xbox controller on my pc I love how it auto sets up the buttons. Hook up pc to tv = win.

Enjoy -  My buddy played my character and went from whiterun down to the town in the southeast and joined the theives and what not. Kind of frusterating now that im in an area that i havent even explored yet. Plus i wasnt ready to leave whiterun yet, i hate having a billion unfinished quests in my log, i like to get each done before i getto the next. Even though its hard to do so on account of finding a new one everytime you go somewhere to complete a different one. Im new to elder scrolls obv. Phone Post
Go to the Jarls house. each Jarl has maps fo the area in their rooms, then when you look at the flags, you populate your map.

Also love readint eh books everywhere. You get map locatiosn and some skills from them.

You will drown if you try taking and doing every single quest. Along with all the main story + faction ones, Skyrim has a procedural minor quest generation system, ie there are literally infinite things to do. Personally I'd choose a faction - Thief, Mage, Bard, Dark Brotherhood etc - and follow their questline.

Yup, she can die. Very easily later on. If she does you can loot her corpse, but you should really be storing virtually everything in a house anyway - you and Lydia should only be carrying your basic essentials plus whatever you've picked up on the current outing.

That's wierd, in my game everytime she dies she just kneels then when I'm done dominating she gets back up and regenerates her health. Phone Post

That's not dying, that's getting knocked unconscious. She can definitely die, esp against magic.

Can you do more than one faction? I'm going to have a hell of a choosing between thief and brotherhood if not.

Has anyone come across a light armor trainer? I'm hoping getting my ass beat isn't the only way to level it. Phone Post

You can, I've done Companions and Mage, and am now on DB, with Bard to follow (fuck the thieves). There is a light armor trainer in the market area in Rifton, she's also good to sell to as she'll buy many different things and you can get back what you spend on training.

How do you track down the assassins guild? They have a contract out on me and I want to know who signed it and then wipe them off the face of Skyrim.

I have some nasty spells on me, worst one being negative 25% melee dmg, which has gone unnoticed for like 10 levels haha. Where do I get rid of it? Phone Post

Thanks for all the hints, very helpful indeed. Especially about the randomly generated quests. Would have been stuck in Riverrun forever otherwise.

Am trying to make a mage / sneak at the moment. Almost all mage without armor or melee weapons. But with stealth and some archery capabilities. Using Lydia and Summoned characters after the opening sneak crits, and using support magics for them.

No idea if its going to work though. Anybody doing anything similar?

pray to the shrine of Talos in Whiterun - there should be a dude screaming about religion/worship right in front of the 15 foot statue

There is a guy in Riverfell or whatever (first city), that teaches archery.

I got him to teach me like 5 levels (2500 gold) and then I killed him and got my money back. I'm kinda an asshole.

Never got visited by the Dark Brotherhood though.

The quest for the dark brotherhood start in Riften someone says that they heard some kid in winterhold (I think) is trying to contact the dark brotherhood.

You lockpick the door and go inside where's he's performing the black sacrament.

He gets all happy Herp Derp it really worked my mother was killed and I had to go live in an orphanage in riften but the lady who ran it was a bitch so I ran away and want her dead.

Go kill her and return to the kid.

Eventually a courier will appear with a note that has a black handprint and " We Know" written on it.

Next time you sleep you'll be visited by the Dark Brotherhood Phone Post
