I have a 3 week trip coming up next week. 10 days will be at a place with no tv, so I want to take some books to read to pass time. I am open to any theme, style, genre. I dont read often, so for me a book is either uninteresting where I don't really get into it and never read, or one where I dont want to put it down.

Some of the books I really enjoyed.

The Road
All the Pretty Horses
Catcher in the Rye
Pirate Latitudes

Already have Blood Meridian and Game of Thrones to take. Also looking into Confederacy of Dunces

thanks

Game of Thrones is a tough read. Not quite English. The author references so many made up "things" that its difficult to comprehend what's being said. It's easier to watch the show. You should pick up the auto-biography of Benjamin Franklin. Try to find an edition with additional "essays" reprinted in the back. Its a fascinating read.
