I saw donald brashear in a bar downtown one night when the Canucks were playing on the road. I don't know why he wasn't on the trip. injury maybe. anyway, he's a pretty big guy and had a great run as top of the food chain for fighters.

No. I said the way he acted made me think of Gino. Is your brain deficient?

Hoping the Canucks can pull it off this year, but I'm not holding my breath.  How are they going to deal wtih the ref's putting away their whistles during the playoffs?  They haven't done anything to make me believe this year will be any different.

Yes clearly it's my brain that's in question. As much as I like what Lappy has done so far as a Canuck, I can't fathom how anyone would have a Gino flashback after that "fight", chirping or not..

I will say though that as much of a stretch it is,  I applaud any efforts towards more Canucks love :)  Much respect to one of the toughest ever to lace 'em up. There's no need for any excuses for a Gino thread, the dude deserves his own.

A peace offering above

I've played poker with Gino. True story. Nice and quiet guy at the tables. Just chills out. Decent player too.

I don't always play poker, but when I do, it's with former NHL pugilists.

Gino wore the old Cooper SK 2000 (like Messier later in his career & many others at the time. Mess wore a WinnWell early on & they looked very similar).
I know nothing about Keke Mortson

Butch's helmet looked like something designed by NASA compared to the one Keke used to wear!
