Hey Mate,

check out www.phoenixgym.com.au

Its a full time facility with 3 rings, full size mma cage, full time coaches and a BJJ world champ on the way next year. Plus huge strength and conditioning area.

They offer Boxing, Jiu jitsu, Wrestling, Thai Boxing and MMA all under one roof and one membership.

There's quite a few places you can train.

EPIC BJJ in at Elite Physique in Phillip (two Machado Black Belts, Danny Weir and Ben Mallia)

Elements BJJ in the city (Machado Purple Ben Langford)

Roots BJJ at the ANU (Paulo Guimares Purple Ben Turnbull)

Hill Sports Academy in Belconnen (Renato Vieira / Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Purple - Me :).

Phoenix Gym in Mitchell (No BJJ coach at the moment, possible Nova Uniao BB next year).

Each of the gyms has good facilities (Phoenix & Hills being the best IMO), but it's worth checking out gym policies on who else you can train with if you're at their gym. Some of the gyms will kick you out if they find out you've trained anywhere not on their approved list.

Also, if you're after other styles, Hills have world class Judo (Comm.Games Gold medallist, multiple Aus.Champs) and Phoenix have top notch kickboxing (Aus.Champs).

As a plug for Hills, I should also mention that they have a fully sprung Judo mat, and are a certified CrossFit gym.

Phoenix has Hugo Nunes teaching No-Gi, Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu. He is a BB in Jiu Jitsu from Nova Uniao and a world class competitor.

JFC1001 have you moved to canberra yet?

Good pickup for Phoenix. Plenty of solid guys to roll with there.
