They get Bynum back in a couple of days and then hopefully exchange him with D12 without giving up Pau.

 No Dwight trade imo.

They shouldn't have fucked with the core team in the first place.

If no Dwight trade then letting Odom go was a colossally stupid move.

 It was.

After Stern put it out that they would assfuck any big move the Lakers make they shoulda just calmed Lamar the fuck down, assured him that they won't be doing anymore trades,  Slapped his face,  Gave him a hershey bar and told him to man the fuck up and get back to being a pro.  Thats what Jerry would have done,  probably Jeanie too.

Unfortunately the young Jim Buss and his knee jerk reactions skrewed us out of the friggin 6TH MAN OF THE YEAR!!!  For basically nothing in return!

The way I see it.

when Bynum returns,

PF: Gasol/McRoberts
C: Bynum/Gasol

1st string frontcourt will be improved at PF and C...

PF: Gasol >> McRoberts
C: Bynum > Gasol

2nd string frontcourt will be improved at PF and C...

PF: McRoberts > Murphy
C: Gasol >>> McRoberts

Those are solid frontcourt rotations that not many in the league can come close to.

If we give up Pau & Drew like they are saying, our all around front court is diminised to 3 players.

definately need some help at PG.

There's some rabble rousing about going for Deron Williams somehow but thats very unlikely me thinks.
They can try the TPE for DHarris from Utah, but after seeing Fisher blow by him and hit shots on him the other day I don't think it would be a good deal.

Laker boards are still so chocked full of D12 discussion that everyones forgetting that the biggest gap in the team is at PG as well as a quality backup for Kobe.

Nate Robinson & Gilbert Arenas are apparently free agents.   If we can get em to sign for the Vet minimum it might be worth a shot.

For the first time in ages I can honestly say that I like the Kings frontcourt vs the Lakers.

Yeah, I don't think the Kings have a better one than the Lakers, but I really like the rotation of Cousins, Hayes, JJ Hickson, and Jason Thompson right now.   Finally getting this better talent on the roster should make for better practices which should lead to improvement in some of these young guys. Jason Thompson has been inconsistent in the few years he's been around but I'm not at all ready to write him off yet.  He was one of the only positives in the loss to Portland the other night, and the other guys I mentioned are solid.  Plus when you take their ages into consideration all those guys (other than Hayes) are going to get better. And shit, Hayes is still only 28.

^They might be, thanks to the league owners ganging up to stop them from getting better. What a pussy way to bring them down.

Yeah,  they definitely have youth and athleticism on their side.   I was also a believer in Jason Thompson as well.  Had him on my Fantasy team a couple years ago when he was a rook and he tore it up! the kid has the skills to be an allstar but for whatever reason he is fading.  If he ever got  it together mentally he would be a force in the league.

I liked how we are utilizing the high pick & roll once again.  Last year we were tearing teams up with it and went on some killer winning streaks.  Then for some reason Phil Jackson took it out from the playbooks towards the end of the year and into the playoffs.     McRob is an AMAZING pickup!  That kid is all over the place.

Lakers looking good, definitely a lot better when Blake is at pg.I would give them more props if I didn't see the Warriors spank the Knicks and the Bulls back to back.

should be nuts when Bynum is back.

yeah, i was wondering that too.

Lakers looked tired.  6 games in 8 days is tough, they shoulda used younger legs in there a little bit more.
