Unless the Lakers make some good trades, they will not be the champions this season.

at this point I think most lakers fans would agree that acquiring Dwight Howard makes little sense. Bynum is our center and he's one of the best in the league and still very young. Trading a couple firsts, Bynum and some youngsters like Morris and EBanks for a slight upgrade at center would be stupid.

What we really need is a pg and a wing player off the bench. I like our young guys. I think Morris, Goudelock, Ebanks and Character have potential but we need an impact player and a scorer off the bench right now. If we could move a couple of them or our trade exception we could seriously contend.

I really would prefer to not trade either of our 2 1st rounders next year. The 2012 draft is one of the deepest in the last 10-15 years and we could get 2 very talented prospects.

last night was awesome.was switching back and forth watching Kobe look young again, those 2 dunks were badass, and watching the Heat choked against the Warriors.Lebron was playing with the Warriors like boys the 1st 3 quarters,up by 16 or something, but for some weird reason didn't take a single shot in the 4th.

Kobe's post game interview was cool also, citing ESPN ranking him#7 in the league.

yeah can't believe we won back to back games with 3 of our top bench players out. I really like how Darius Morris looked off the bench. He gives us athletic ability we don't have from the rest of our guards and he's one of our few players that can get to the basket. I'd like to see him get more run as the year goes on.

you definitely are.  It's even more fun because they've been counted out and are underdogs in the league for the first time in a long while.

Some of those were defended perfectly. But there's just nothing you can do to stop Kobe if he's on his game.

I will note that the game was close though, which seems to happen a lot when he explodes for a lot of points. And I hope
he leaves some in the tank for the playoffs!

Agreed.   Bynum has been beasting though and Blake is out with an injured rib.

We're seriously lacking in a bench right now especially at the 2 guard positions..   I really think we should make a play for Arenas when he's cleared or Brookes when he finishes up overseas.

there is no way I would ever want Arenas. He hasn't been good in years and is a cancer in the locker room. I'd love Brooks but he's a restricted free agent as well. I wish we would of went after Nate Robinson before he got signed.

 I hear you,

but I was saying the same thing about Artest & Barnes when we signed em.   The Laker org has proven are the best at redirecting these troubled but  talented players.

yeah, brookes will probably go back to phoenix
