Fairly simple question for someone,

Are there any UFC mini posters that are worth anything at all or deemed collectible? Presume there are loads of them floating about?

Anything with a design then the actual event poster is worth having imo. I think they look great signed and help save wall space. I would not frame a full size UFC 99 in my house, but I might find a spot for a signed mini.

Do you mean anything OTHER than the actual event poster?

Ah ok, thanks.

What other posters were you talking about? I have quite a few mini event posters. Curious what you mean by anything with a design... got any examples?

UFC 7 flyer

UFC 7 event poster

If the flyer looked just like the poster I would not want it.

Probably not a "Frequently" asked question but i'll ask here instead of creating a new thread.

So im going to try to set up an EBAY and Paypal account next week (Never have had one). I had someone sell something on EBAY for me this week and now i see what people are talking about when they talk about FEES!! Jeez. Anyways, can someone please explain to me how doing a "Deal" with a fellow collector here works? Say 2 people agreed on a price for something and im assuming the buyer transfers the money using the other persons Paypal Email. So here's some questions.

1. EBay you have a guarantee if the buyer doesn't send the item but do you have any guarantee on a personal deal? Are you just taking a risk they send it?

2. What if it's damaged during shipping (No fault of either seller or buyer)? Do you go after the Post Office? Are you both out money and the item?

Im sure i have more questions that i forgot. I'm mainly interested in the recourse on a deal that doesn't go well, if there is any, since it's a personal deal and your not using Ebay and your not an actual buisness.

Thanks. Hope to do some deals soon.

If you are worried or unsure of person, send him an invoice thru paypal and itemize it in description if you are a seller.. If you are a buyer, kindly ask the seller to send you an itemized invoice thru paypal.

To account for damage due to shipping or undelivered.. always make sure there is delivery confirmation at the minimum.. you can even do/ask for signature confirmation.

If item is of value, tell seller you want them to insure pkg for said amount. If pkg is not delivered, insurance will recoup your loss.

Be careful when dealing with ppl not within the continental USA.. as per Paypal has different rules refarding if they will or will not cover loss of pkg. Phone Post

Thanks for the response. I didnt know you could write up an invoice.

So if you got an invoice from the seller with a description of the item and ended up getting something different than described or it was damaged not during shipping and they refused to make it right, what then? Do you file a claim with Paypal? The reason i ask is because i just wouldn't have thought that Paypal backed up "Personal" deals. I assumed it was an at your own risk type deal.

Another reason i ask is because when i had my friend list the item on Ebay for me we instantly had people emailing us asking us to take it down and sell it to them directly through Paypal. I might have thought about doing it to avoid Ebay fees but i wasnt sure how a "Personal" deal through Paypal worked and didn't want to get into any situation.

^ see Paypal for a more detailed description of their rules and bylaws.. u can also email them questions and they will respond..

As far as ppl contacting u to sell OFF Ebay, this could be numerous reasons..
They could NOT want to get in bidding wars with other ppl.. they also could hope that you would take less for item.. and spin it like they are doing you a favor saving you all those fees.. which could be the case..

They could also be getting you to take item down in agreement that they will purchase from you, but in reality they blow you off.. and in the meantime, sell their exact identical item that you have on Ebay or privately thus controlling market price in a way. very grey area business tactic like.

ex: you have a pretty decent investment in a particular item and someone lists same item on Ebay for really cheap price. You don't want your investmemt losing to much value, so you get them to remove listing and tell them you will buy item but then ignore them, or you go and buy item and add to your investment.

Later on you sell off you bulk in this item one,by one over a long period of time thus giving the perception to ppl that your item is rare when in reality you have bulk of that item.

ppl do this all the time with items and memorabilia.. which is why you see such fluctuations in sale prices. Look at how many ppl get mma gloves signed now just to flip on Ebay to fuel their collections.. Phone Post

In a small community like the one here on the board, fortunately most people have done deals with at least a few people that can vouch for them.  I personally have only been burned by a few fake posters, but I think that the seller (Roland/kakuto store) probably didn't even know it since they were part of a very large lot.

Dunno if this is the right thread to ask but guess its better than making a new thread...

The European UFC store has a few posters for sale, but they are listed as being 20x16 and 24x35.

Anyone know why they are different size to the usual 27x39?

Just a quick question since most of you know better than I do.

I just recently started getting posters and I am getting a decent amount. Id rather store them flat instead of inside the tubes. What is a good website to get those acid-free poster sleeves? Are they a good option to keep them in?

Anyone know why some UFC on FOX 1 posters have a red & white FOX logo and some have a white & black one?

Anyone know if MMACollector is still operational? I've tried to contact them with a question 2 times through Twitter and once through the contact email given on the site and never got a response. Their Twitter posting seemed to stop too. Just wondering.
