An injury has forced former Ultimate Fighter competitor George Sotiropoulos out of UFC 144 in Japan. Eiji Mitsuoka steps in to take his place to face Takanori Gomi.

Eiji Mitsuoka will make his UFC debut on just a month’s notice, where he will fight at home in Japan against former Pride champion Takanori Gomi.

UFC 144 takes place at Saitama Super Arena on Feb. 26.

 To be fair if Gomi decently showed up we might have seen Gomi vs Tyson or George vs Dos Anjos type of result by way of Gomi winning by tko.

its MMA anything could happen and lets not forget George doesnt have the best TDs nor chin

Ya, I think there is a possibility Mitsuoka is a worse matchup for Gomi. Mitsuoka could grind Gomi down
