From www.MMAinPA.com:

The Ultimate Fighter 15, AKA The Ultimate Fighter: LIVE is the fifteenth installment of the UFC-produced Reality TV series TUF. This season will mark the show's debut on the FX Network as well as the debut of Jon Anik as host. The FX cast features Jeff Smith (9-1) of Mechanicsburg.

The 24-year-old lightweight gained tremendous cage experience during his amateur career spanning four years in Virginia before making his professional debut in
Pennsylvania in 2009. The submission specialist has seen successes in World Extreme Fighting, Scranton-based PA Cage Fight and Pennsylvania Fighting Championship, where he earned their Lightweight Championship in November 2011. "Easy parts over," Smith said in a text message to MMAinPA.com today, "now time to kick some *ss."

As part of the deal with FX, the show will undergo a revamp. Prior to season fifteen the show was shot in six weeks, edited and aired several months after filming was completed. Beginning with this season the show will be shot over thirteen weeks and edited "the week of" before being broadcast. In addition season fifteen will be the first to feature live fights.

The UFC and FX held open tryouts on December 5, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada, with over 500 prospects vying for 32 spots. The casting call went out for lightweight and welterweight fighters. On December 6, 2011, it was announced that the coaches for the season would be rivals UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and WEF featherweight stand-out Urijah Faber.

The season will kick off with a two-and-a-half hour live premier on March 9 and concludes with a three-hour live finale on June 1.
