What is your mind map for mixing the 1 legged x with you spider de la riva because that's literally my exact game. Problem is I go in with one mentality or another. Spider/ de la riva or 1 legged x. What's the trigger that puts you in 1 legged c and not the others? Phone Post 3.0

That's getting into my personal game and I haven't had a chance to get to do that yet.

My 1-leg x-guard entries and DLR entries are typically my highest percentage entry when someone is standing and I'm on on my butt.

From there I am very active with the posting foot to move them around and create space/imbalance so that I can move from 1-leg to DLR to X-guard to Spider and back and forth between all of them. I'll also use the posting foot to get a spider hydrid if I can.

The drill that helped me the most is to start in any one of these open guard and just go back and forth between all of them.

Yea I do that to. I'd say the best way for me to go x is when someone's combat bad is too tight for my DLR hook. Typically then I play the Nicolini shield to a triangle or overhead sweep. Of the sit back I come up and wrap around the leg to sit back and go 1 legged x Phone Post 3.0
