Manny Yarbrough GOAT - Guaranteed to go to a close decision.

Alves couldn't finish Kampmann on the feet and Ellenberger's MT is not as good as Alves.
Kampmann's last two losses were to Shields and Sanchez. Ellenberger just rolled up both those guys...just sayin. Phone Post

Really difficult fight to call, instinctively I lean towards The Juggernaut unleashing hell on Kampmann against the cage... but Martin really surprised me in his last fight with his composure and awareness. Also, I could see Jake coming in a bit cocky. He has so much power on top of his great wrestling, but he really needs to respect all aspects of Martin's game.

Manny Yarbrough GOAT - He rolled up Sanchez? He did drop him, not sure if rolled up is the right word......Ellenberger is lucky it wasn't 5 Rounds.
I hate when people say this. If it was 5 rounds, he would have trained for 5 rounds. Sanchez got lucky Ellenberger slipped in round 3, or he would have lost 30-27. Phone Post

VS. common opponents

Ellenberger
Condit - loss (split decision)
Shields - win (tko 1)
Sanchez - win (unanimous decision)

Kampmann
Condit - win (split decision)
Shields - loss (split decision)
Sanchez - loss (unanimous decision)

odds are Kampmann losses a shitty split decision ;)

Wow. My two favorite WW's, this is going to be an absolute war! I believe Kampmann won both the Sanchez and Shields fights but he could have made it more convincing if he had followed a solid gameplan in those fights. I'll say either Kampmann by sub in late 3rd or Ellenberger by decision due to Kampmanns insane toughness. Great fight. Phone Post

I know the judges gave it to Diego, but I thought Kampmann clearly won that fight. Phone Post

Kampmann will give Ellenberger the Sanchez treatment but he won't let himself get backed into the cage this time. He has great TDD.

Also- what's the record for most consonants in last names for a main/co-main bout? This has to be up there! Phone Post

 Easy fight for Kampmann actually.
No way in  hell jake is taking Kampmann down. No way is he going to TKO him. jake always always fades away after the first initial onslaught.

I think Kampmann will come back round 3 and unleashed till round 5 and possibly score a finish or sub. this fight is perfect for Kampmann to win.

The winner should get the interim interim title belt since the actual interim champ isn't fighting any time soon.

I could see this fight going somewhat similar to Kampman v Mcfedries.

Not that Jake and Drew are similar fighters at all but just that they both have good power which Kampmann could/did weather and than either lock in a sub or pick him apart on the feet.

Great matchmaking though! Definitely like this fight and it will answer a lot of questions about both guys. Kinda wish Hendricks v Ellenberger would have been made instead of their current matches though.

You're comparing McFedries, who went 4-5 in a weak MW division against gatekeepers, to Ellenberger, who is 6-1 in a stacked WW with 2 top 10 wins and his only UFC loss being a controversial split decision to the current interim champ?

LOL fren, thanks for the laugh Phone Post

No sir, I am in no way shape or form comparing Mcfedries and Ellenberger. As I said my statement was more about the power aspect and how Kampman weathered the storm in that particular fight.

Beyond Ellenberger being far more succesful their fighting styles aren't even similar.
