I wrote a bunch of shit and my browser shit itself :(

Basically I looked at the quality of materials, dimensions and construction. If the gun is used for rage toy, plinking shooting varmints and paper that won't see heavy use, then who cares.....go with a lower price point and it will likely do what you want it to do. FCTV wants to shoot zombies and aliens, therefore his tool needs to be held to a higher standard.

a specific point about the model FCTV posted.....it's a .243! It's considered "overbore"......big case capacity+small caliber bullet. Compare to say a .223....small caliber+smallcase or .308....med. caliber+med case. The less overbored a cartridge is the better for barrel longevity.

It is a great hunting round and good for shooting people too as it's is great for thin-skinned animals.....but it eats barrels A LOT FASTER than a .308/7.62x51mm

It would be a bitch finding ammo after the world ends. I like .308 my wife surprised me for my birthday with original HK 94 in box. I like it but now I really like the LWRC REPR now that I saw it.

Will have to save money to buy it then can be zombie killer!

Oh yeah, and looking for Benelli semi auto shot because I want a zombie with no head! Hahaha, Walking Dead rules!

Thanks, question answered. Perhaps DTA Covert would satisfy multi-caliber Zombie/Alien destruction requirements? Outside my price point, but it might fill a gap or two.

20rdr sized I think, but limited to 10rd as it had like a rivet halfway down the mag body.
