var so = new SWFObject("http://www.youtube.com/v/GQLussR70H8", "postVideo-40222444-Flash", "425", "355", "9.0.28", "##000"); so.addParam("allowScriptAccess", "samedomain"); so.addParam("allowNetworking", "internal"); so.addParam("wmode", "transparent"); so.write("postVideo-40222444"); His Grappling skills look pretty weak if you ask me. Other guy had side control for a little bit but I didn't see any skills besides his hands and a little sprawl and base here and there.

I would hardly say "weak", he defended a pretty strong take down pretty much the entire time.  When the dude finally was able to then the corner and take him down (into side control you're talking about), Jay Paul was able to maintain a half-choke to keep him from advancing his position (and doing NO damage) then was able to use that very choke to reverse him into top position, lightning transition to mount, and start picking his shots.

IMO JP looked really good in this fight (this is the first time I've ever seen him fight).  Really good hands, great power, very solid tdd, and great composure.  I hope (and assume) he's working bjj because he could really do something in the sport.

P.S. I don't care how many 'gators you caught, it's about more than that.  Troy Landry is still the King of the Swamp, and Willie is still the most BA.  I will say, though, the Molinere's are fucking huslters man, they work and work smart.  500 Gators in 30 days is just absurd.

UGCTT_THE Kevin Chandler -  Woah woah woah, if we're talking about favorites on the show, my vote HAS to go to Troy (and his son Jacob), no one loves huntin' gators more than those two and you can tell in the HORRIBLY fantastic songs they sing.

But if we're talking about non-main characters, my vote HAS to go to those two swamp brothers (I don't even remember what they're names are) who fish gars and drag logs out of the swamp.  I would easily watch a show set entirely around them.
The brothers are hillarious they need their own show for sure. Phone Post

yup, sad

(CNN) -- Mitchell Guist, a star of the reality TV show "Swamp People," died Monday in Louisiana.

He was aboard a boat near Belle River Landing in the southern part of the state when he appeared to have a seizure, said Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack, citing an unidentified man who was with Guist.

The reality show star then fell on the boat.

The man who was with Guist towed both his boat and Guist's boat back to the landing, called 911 and performed CPR, said Waguespack.

Guist was transferred to the Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City, where he was pronounced dead.

"We are extremely saddened to report that our friend and beloved member of the 'Swamp People' family, Mitchell Guist, has passed away earlier today. Mitchell passed on the swamp, doing what he loved. We appreciate your respect for the Guist family's privacy and hope you join us in sending our thoughts and prayers to his brother, Glenn, and the rest of the Guist family," the History Channel said in a statement.

Glenn Guist is also a cast member on the show.

"Swamp People" is the popular History Channel TV series that chronicles the lives of alligator hunters in Louisiana.

Technically troy caught 510...he had 470 tags but he helped his friend fill his 40 remaining tags also. All these guys are BA really but Willie is my favorite..when he's 50 they will be calling him the king of the swamp. Phone Post

And Damnit at that Jay Paul fight video...dude has heavy hands for sure & pretty quick reflexes also. Wasn't fond of his celebration after the ko, but he's not a martial artist just a brawler so its understandable. He has potential, anyone have info about an upcoming fight? Phone Post
