My friend carries a lot of money sometimes for work and he is friendly with a lot of police. He is trying hard to get a CCW and he is thinking of pushing the issue. I know some other people that are talking about going so far as to sue the county if they are refused without getting a real reason why they won't get a CCW.

Do you know any civilian that has ever got a CCW except for quasi police employee's or judges and politicians?

Do you think you will ever live to see CCWs in Hawaii. I have no problem with training and certification etc.

I am thinking things are going to go in opposite directions. Either we get CCWs or gun bans are coming unfortunately.

*SEEETHING WITH RAGE

With the way things are currently going in the various circuits we'll likely get it once things are more thoroughly defined.......how long is the fucked part.

The issue of gun rights is just a symptom how fucked our state is and how these shitheads that keep getting reelected by the stupid voters are useless and corrupt. We suffer under a bloated bureaucracy led around by a corrupt, self serving executive branch and legislature. We as a whole, get what we fucking deserve, so look around at all the people you know and meet and understand that they are just about fucking worthless and ignorant.

There is no hope for Hawaii if things don't change drastically.......big deal if if get CCW, it'll be allowed only because if it was forced upon the state to change. The embedded mentality of our established institutions and citizens are gonna DOOM us economically and culturally......can anyone honestly say things are better than 20 years ago.....30....etc? YEA, but we have lots of malls, starbucks and places to eat!!!

FUKKIT, Just got back from chiropractor....driving with assholes in traffic and the increased bloodflow to my brain and motion in my shoulder/arm makes me want to step on peoples necks more than usual!

I'm 100% for this.

How the fuck you gonna deny a business owner who deals with cash the right to defend himself from becoming a victim?

Make the training and certification tough as fuck if you want but at least give law abiding citizens a chance to acquire it.

I agree with the sentiment.....but gonna have to say NO to the practical application of it. I'm on my phone so don't want o get to long.

Here's the gist of it though. If we accept that it is in fact a constitutional right then any qualifyers for that right MUST BE LIMITED AND SERVE A COMPELLING NEED AND CANNOT BE SO BURDENSOME AS TO ACT AS A BAR OF THAT RIGHT. This is pretty much where we stand right now where the LEVEL of scrutiny must be clearly defined so as to be able to gauge the reasonableness of restrictions in a more uniform manner.

Agree completely.

Where I live, CCW Is easy, encouraged and CCW classes are plentiful. I was lassuming that CCW is under State jurisdiction/law....not a lawyer? Or raging constitutionalist apparently. Have a friend who works at a range and shop, visited him a bit at the turn of the Administration and they couldn't keep shit on the shelf, business was good, still is. Nothing changed. Nothing really will Federal wise. That horse is fun to beat but it's dead still, nobody going to be rounding up gun owners, fun to see people speculate it's just around he corner........for the last 30 years.

Armed society is a safe and polite society...right

IF one is carrying a lot of money, in a routine fashion for work, on a schedule, just having a permit isn't going to necessarily save the day against a tidy plan, unless of course it's spontaneous jacking , right?
