I don't own a Sub Apparel Gi but after seeing one up close it looks a lot like the Kingz Rip Stop... Only you can get a Kingz Rip Stop for like 130 bucks.

I bought a classic and a pro, both A2
Having worn both in training, I can say that
Both look and feel excellent.
These bad boys are the G-Star of gis
If I had to choose one, I would go with the pro because I like it more
As a 5'11", 75kg guy, the pro fits my frame the most having a slimmer jacket and slightly longer pants.
It's always my left knee that goes first. With the double ripstop pants they might last some years I could imagine.
The classic has a fractionally broader jacket, slightly wider and shorter pants, falls down my arse a little bit once we go berimbolo.
Then again I've machine dried my pro but not my classic yet
From how I've rolled in each, I think the pro suits slimmer and more muscular people, and the classic a general build.
They both weigh 2kg which is good for training because they will last longer and speaks for itself when making weight.
I'll be training in my sub gis and competing in something lighter unless sub takes me on their team :P
4.5 stars for the pro and 4 for the classic.
Very happy to wear my new gis.
I also look forward to the subapparel LIGHT - I need my competition gi to weigh no more than 1.4kg to make 73kg comfortably.
Conclusion: Get one and support an Australian owned gi label.
Hope that helps a little bit

i don't own any G star, henley or whatever cool clothes people wear nowadays so i have no idea how much G star sell for.

so is the comment supposed to mean they are expensive and good? or expensive and shit as they are for posers?

or is it just for people wanting to be hip and cool....and douchey

1 for Tatami.

$180 delivered is a sweet deal.

I've seen the and felt the Sub gi's at the last comp and for $220 it's not worth it IMO, you can buy better gi's at that end of the scale. Phone Post
