Mike Fleig- Strictly based on that. Putting together a win streak of five, six or even seven like in Jim Miller’s case doesn’t get you a title shot in this division. Then you see other guys drop down to featherweight win 1 or 2 fights and get a title shot down there. Does switching weight classes ever cross your mind?
Melvin Guillard- “Not really. I’m content with what’s going on. You know you just have to keep working hard and keep training and keep on getting better. The more time I put in it just puts me closer to my goal and that’s being the champion. I believe I can be champion at 155. There’s no point for me to run to another weight class, I’m gonna be champion at 155.”

Not gonna happen.. He's got power and he's extremely athletic and explosive but he'll never hang with the top guys..

He always seems to do well for a fight or two and as soon as he fights someone decent, he loses and gets all pissed off at himself Phone Post

He's got some great positives, but the holes in his game and decision making still seem major.

They didn't let him finish the sentence:

"I'm gonna be champion at 155 ... in Championship Fighting Alliance."

I don't think he has the mental focus or decision making to be champ. I think he also has a glass jaw.

LOL people have been saying this for 10 years, literally. "he's got all the tools, blah blah".

No, he doesn't have the tools. That's why he GETS tooled every time he fights a solid opponent.

With the right opponents, I can see him cutting a path to the title. Unfortunately, he's not likely to get the right opponents. Phone Post

He has had numerous opportunities to put his stamp on this division. And each time, he lost. That's not to say he has no shot at ever doing this, but at this point it's pretty tough to picture. His best chance? Win a couple fights and then somehow or another, wind up with a title shot on short notice if there is an injury or some such.
