Did AJ lose part of his purse or not?
He was not fined, he did not miss weight. He gave up a part of his purse. If it was agreed upon before he took the scale then it wasn't missing weight. <img src="/images/phone/droid.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

Smell that? Yeah, smells like bullshit to me too.

Rumble is losing money, missing weight

UFC contract... etc

Paying his opponents now, % of his own purse, to fight him "under-weight"

Peckerwood - His fight with David Branch is now catch weight of 195 lbs.
Spoke to rumble and the contract he signed was for a catch weight and he didn't have to lose any of his purse Phone Post

Not sure why it hasn't been mentioned yet but his opponent didn't make weight, either (edited to add at the contracted weight of 185).

I don't know if they had signed a previous contract for a fight at 185 but according to rumble he was cutting to 195, that wasn't just as he was 10lbs out day of weigh ins said he previously signed for that weight.

I'm just posting info he gave himself. Easy to go see for yourself Phone Post
He's not right. They did sign to fight at 185. Both missed weight and resigned to a catch weight.

I doubt the promoters want such information to be released because it makes them look weak. Phone Post

Frontpage says he gave up 4k of his purse Phone Post
He personally said he never gave any money away and he had signed a contract to fight at catch weight.

On
His Instagram account - 3 days ago he posted a pic of him on the scale saying weight cut going smooth. I then commented it today saying what happened how come u didn't make weight ext so he was kind enough to answer some questions Phone Post

Then ask him when he signed the new bout agreement for 195:) And ask him what the original contracted weight was.

There was no penalty because his opponent wasn't at 185 either, for whatever reason. Remember when Vitor had to suck it up and make his contracted weight (after DW told him Anthony wouldn't be making weight) in order to get a percentage of AJs purse? Either AJs opponent this time didn't want the money or he couldn't make weight, either. THAT'S how last minute catch weight bouts happen. Unprofessional, regardless.

If Johnson moves to lh , I think he gets destroyed if he makes it back to UFC , his size advantage was his greatest strength and he won't have that at 205

On the broadcast they said they took 20% from Rumble...

Boring fight.

Rumble gave some odd answers in the post fight interview .

First, they asked him how the weight cut went and he said smooth and said how the contracted weight was 195. Miletich brought up that it was changed to 195 because he wasn't making 185.

He then claimed his cut for 185 was going great till his body stopped dropping weight and has to see a dr why! Same story he had in the Vitor fight. They talked about 205 for his next fight and Pat asked if he could compete with fighters 225 and he thought it wasn't a problem...

So, he was deceptive about not being able to make 185, claimed the cut isn't a problem again- but has a medical issue unrelated to cutting too much weight-Again. Then admitted he's north of 220.

Second that. He just needs to start fighting at a higher weight class. I personally do not believe that Johnson does not try. He is professional enough and has enough professional people around him to approach this thing seriously. I just think he is getting a bit older so what was almost impossible in the past is now truly impossible.

Move up in weight. I still think he has a pretty decent fight career if he does.
