I know OAMA is sending a contingent...not sure how many but I believe their 2 strong middle weights (McGourty and Hadden - white / blue respectively) are going plus some younger guys and maybe Hache at brown belt

Canada is doing a solid job so far.

Yesterday in blue belt adult Arthur from Ascension took silver, and Reuben form Toronto BJJ took bronze.

Today in purple belt action Alison Tremblay of BTT Canada claimed gold, Ostap of Open Mat took bronze, Jhalan Lohoni of Toronto BJJ took bronze, and Melissa Biscardi also of Toronto BJJ took bronze.

Today cole form OAMA got bronze in blue juvenile 1.

Alsion Tremblay was looking good in her second fight in the absolute when I left.

Shaule who medalled in Blue belt meio-pesado is form Gracie Barra Vancouver I am told.

Ostap lost in the absolute to a Miyao brother by 2 points before the medal rounds.

Another BTT Canada lady took silver in Blue Juvenile.

Toronto BJJ today:

Roya gold in absolute & silver in the Weight class Blue Juv 1

Eric silver in Blue Juv 2

Nathaniel gold in Blue Juv 2

Toronto BJJ takes home a Canadian record tying 7 medals including 2 Golds, 2 Silver, and 3 Bronze.

It would appear that Toronto BJJ's contributions in the Juvenile divsions lead to Ribeiro winning the World Juvnile team title.

Montreal Grappling sponsored Richard Bondoc, Jimmy Tat, and Alex Fraser to the tournament.

Richard Bondoc couldn't compete because of injury.

Jimmy Tat won his first match at brown belt 2-0 on points but lost his second match by triangle with a minute left with the match tied at 0.

Alex Fraser placed 3rd in Blue Belt, he had a first round bye then fought 5 times.

Congrats to them and everyone else from Canada who fought at the Mundials!
