He didn't win a UFC championship until UFC 46. He was a tournament champ though at 20 or 21, don't remember. Phone Post

Doesn't sam stout have a good amount of fight of the nights? Two against spencer fisher and he's fighting him again, plus he's relatively young Phone Post

Nm just looked and I was wrong. I don't know how his second fight with Spencer wasn't FOTN, fight of the year IMO. Both of those fights were fun to watch. Phone Post

10 fight night bonuses for Chris Lytle - Damn - he must have pocketed a nice amount of cash. Well deserved to! Always came to fight. I hope he's setup without any major bills to pay for the rest of his life.

Lauzon is great but I dont get how he is most likely to break the most submission of the night bonuses when he is tied with Maia and Nate Diaz.

Fastest submission belongs to Marcus Aurelio over Ryan Roberts.  Armbar in 16 seconds I believe.  Oleg/Macias doesnt count.

NickDiaz209FTW - I don't think that 1.6 million buys will ever be broken. <img src="/images/phone/apple.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

It will.

Superfights have the power to do so.

Likeliest to break? Next Superfight: GSP vs. Anderson Silva, Anderson Silva vs. Jon Jones, Jones Jones vs JDS
none of these fights have anywhere near the star power to beat the ppv record.

that's a long gone mark at this point. without another brock lesnar type star, it might never happen again

i think GSP will beat hughes easily in wins

jones could replace nate for the next record fight of the night contender too

If you go to Joe Lauzon's ufc.com page he has 5 Submission of the Nights, not 4.

He got them for Guillard, Warburton, Melendez, Stephens, Ruediger.

And Terry Etim also has 4.

They really need to ditch the Taktarov vs Macias record for fastest sub. The bout wasn't a work, but Macias blatantly threw the match, you can tell by the look on Olegs face that he wasn't impressed and wasn't expecting it.

Macias and Oleg where friends and had no interest in fighting each other. Joel Sutton and Macias were the only two alternates for the event, and Sutton couldn't continue due to injury leaving no one but Macias available to face Oleg in the semifinal. In retrospect, even if Macias had just thrown in the towel at the start of the bout it would have felt less dirty than what he did.

Jones has two FOTNs. I think Diaz will probably get one more before Jones gets three more.

yeah, I'm thinking more long term. i think Jones is devastating and unless something drastic changes, he is going to start racking them up.

i also think Jones will be fighting more often. nate and jones both fought 4 times in 2011. Nate has only fought once in 2012 and i don't think he's got a scheduled fight coming up? Jones on the other hand, has fought twice, and has 151 with hendo coming up. if he stays on track he could easily get another fight on new years, or somewhere close, and end up fighting 4 times again this year.

Based on their fight styles, I see jones getting more FOTN than nate by a long shot (two of his last 3 fights are FOTN and 3 of Nates were over 3 years ago), and since he's more active he could take that title.

Phil Baroni losing 6 consecutive UFC fights is a record that I don't think will be broken for a longgggg time, if ever.

I agree that Jones will go down as the greatest ever. Thought so for a while.
