Basic emergency prep is so simple and easy to set up. It's not that expensive either. Unfortunately most people will never get over the mental hump and accept that "it can happen to me".

My thoughts are with all the folks on the east coast without power and water. Hopefully the casualties will be low and a few more families will learn the value of preparation.
