Hey 12.

Any insight?
Does he train regularly or was he just stopping by?

I hate the Gators, with a passion, but I like Tebow. Can't help it.

All bullshit about the kid aside - he quits football in 2-5 years, and suppose he gets heavy into BJJ - might be an interesting thing to watch...

Is God forcing me to be Tebow fan?

I was born in Denver Colorado, and I have been a Broncos fan since I was in the womb. Last year was one of the most exciting years of football for me to watch because this unconventional super athelete named Tebow pulled out a winning season with more last minute come from behind victories than I have ever witnessed in a season. It was like watching magic take place in real life. It was exciting! I was angry when I found out that he had been traded. When I found out that Peyton Manning had taken his place, I got over the hurt fairly quickly. I thought I was done with Tebow. However, every time I think I am done with Tebow Mania, he does something that pulls me back in.

Tebow trains Jiujitsu?!?! Holy crap!!! Maybe I am destined to be a Tebow fan.

I saw this...was also interested in the back story. But the most surprising thing to me is seeing Ryron next to Schaub and Tebow...didn't realize he was that big a dude!

Tebow is an elite athlete. He will be great at anything. If he trained bjj.... I think he'd smash most purple belts after 6 months... and be able to give browns and blacks problems too.

He's just too strong and well conditioned for average people to deal with. Phone Post

I disagree, I think that because he is an elite athlete he will have a greater chance being good at the sport faster than average, but not necessarily as a 6 month white belt giving purple, brown, and black belts trouble.

Does he have any previous grappling/combat experience? I'm sorry, but just because you are in the NFL doesn't mean you will be an excellent grappler. He has an enormous advantage being 6'3" 250 lbs, but I don't buy that in half a year, he would be as good as guys who have been doing the sport for 5-10+ years, especially within his weight division.

Tebow is a special breed kind of athlete that stands out amongst other pro's and works fanatically and harder than the majority of his peirs.

Not sure if the 6 month analogy will be entirely correct but he definitely could reach a very high level in a short amount of time if he put the same kind of effort into BJJ training.

Ryron is probably 6'1" 195 lbs. Rener is a little bit taller, 6'4" I would guess though I might be off. During the belt promotions last Saturday when Rener was explaining using jiu-jitsu as a smaller weaker person, Rorion made a joke about how that doesn't include those two. I think my wife recorded it, I'll try to find the clip and post it.

We've all rolled with super athletic/strong guys who are just tough to deal with on the mat with li.ited knowledge.

I'm mot saying he'd be a world champ or competition level, but I'm sure he'd give your every day purple belt who weighs 180ish.... lots of probs once he learns the basics... esp without the gi. Phone Post
