This is a "Kickboxing Forum"... not exclusively a "Muay Thai Forum". It's written in the description. Some styles of kickboxing still use boots.

Sorry, I have no suggestion.

Fairtex makes boots I beleive. Personally I like the Ringside padded kickboxing shoes; I wear them on the gym along with shin pads with the flap that covers the top of the foot. Phone Post

Khun kao,

My remarks where mostly tongue and cheeks...

Poster has not really even specified what type of boots he is talking about.

By the way...is full contact with safeT kicks still being contested ? Phone Post

S'all good.

I was at an event in Delaware a couple of weeks ago (IBF Ring Wars) that offered that style of fighting. I think there are still "pockets" of it around, but its becoming increasingly rarer.

Do you mean the hard-soled shoes used in Savate? :)

Try looking at Century Martial Arts. Kim Pacific and Macho also sells them.

Rob Kaman used "boots" in a bunch of his fights.

A lot of European orgs made you wear them in all divisions up until a couple of years ago.

Best on the market by far are Top Ten and S.A.P. Nothing else mentioned on this thread so far is even really close in durability.

Size 13, you'll need a L. I'm an 11 and the ML just covers my toes. I've had to wear every type of shin and foot gear imaginable fighting in a bunch of different ammy orgs since the 90's.

If you can get a fight in any discipline, take it! That's what Ernesto Hoost, Rob Kaman and Stan Longinidis did. They all fought with "boots" on from time to time.

Hope that helps.
