Amir Sadollah

Forrest Griffin, Rashad Evans and Michael Bisping have all shown us how far an Ultimate Fighter winner can progress in the UFC.

Amir Sadollah apparently didn't get the memo, as the Virginia native lost his post-show debut in only 29 seconds.

Anthony Pettis

Joe Silva matched up Pettis with the repeat Fight of the Year champion Clay Guida. It was a bout that was sure to thrill.

Instead, Guida used a wrestling-centric attack and ground out a decision in a fight where Pettis was able to get off little offense.

Jake Shields

Heath Herring

Kimbo Slice

Hector Lombard

Yet another example of a fighter who arrives to the UFC in tentative fashion, Hector Lombard made his UFC debut at UFC 149 against Tim Boetsch.

Slow to the punch, Lombard was flat footed and lacked aggression throughout the contest. Although he hurt Boetsch with a body kick in the second round, he was unable to follow up with enough offense to be worthwhile.

Brock Lesnar

Standing across the cage from Lesnar in his promotional debut was grappling specialist and former UFC champion Frank Mir.

Trying to end the bout quickly, the Minnesota native took Mir to the canvas and started to pound away with hammer fists. The bout was stood up for a strike to the back of the head, but the two quickly returned to this position.

Lesnar rose to his feet, and Mir identified a flaw in his opponent's stance. Locking in a kneebar, Lesnar's debut fight saw him submitted in only 90 seconds.

Antonio Silva

Rameau Sokoudjou

Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua

Lesnars debut disappointing? He was pounding the fuck out of Mir for 85 of those 90 seconds.

Soa Palelei made the worst debut out of everyone on that list, without dispute.

Disagree about Lesnar. He was clearly F'd by the ref. It was going to be one of the fastest debut TKO's in UFC history.

The Shogun debut was the biggest disappoint in my mind. I put a ton of $ on him I was telling all my friends who only watch UFC about how the baddest dude on the planet is about to buzzsaw Forrest Griffin. In a sense, I thought Shogun would buzzsaw Forrest like he did in Brazil. What a letdown that was.

McKee's has to be one of the worst. Vacates his title, comes in with some sort of hype, loses a decision to christmas and gets cut immediately only to go back to the title he just vacated. Not to mention before his debut he said he'd smash GSP. Debut Fail in it's purist form.

GSP24 - What a lazy article.

No write up on Cro Cop's debut against Sanchez? That created an uproar, even though he won.

I really don't remember people reacting that strongly, at the time. It seemed to me like it was only after the Gonzaga and Kongo performances that people actually went back and realized how far CC had fallen off by the time of the Sanchez fight.

It definitely didn't compare to say Fedor's Strikeforce debut against Rogers where it was immediately clear to anyone who watched and knew what they were seeing that Fedor's best days were far behind him. CC's performance at the time was just explained as him fighting a striker who was backing up constantly and too scared to engage on the feet.

Another poor debut not mentioned was Rampage, people thought he had no chance against Chuck because of how tentative he was in the first round against Eastman.

Mayhem. Not just that he lost, but how he lost.

And I dont understand Bigfoot Silva being on the list. What was anyone expecting from him against Cain? Phone Post
