Tartan,

Without any stats on the villain and not remembering how he played, I probably would have folded pre.
With me raising under the gun and being generally pretty tight, I wouldn't expect him to get out of line with a hand like AQ, AJ, or a pocket pair smaller than JJ. So I would think, without a read on him, that I'm going to have a tough time playing that hand out of position.

Since it's a 6-max I'd probably see a flop with AQs and fold AQo to a three-bet, without a read.

How about you?

Back when you played the hand 2 years ago I was so aggro that I probably would have gone all in to a re-raise in any position with AQo.

Now a days I would fold to a 3-bet pre and play the hand as you did on the flop although my bet sizing would probably be slightly bigger and I would have tried to get max value on the river(you could have put him all-in imo).

I think that he played his hand horribly...he had no reason to slow play it preflop and he definitely should have re-raised you on the flop with 2 spades on the board with no over card to his KK...

Agreed completely. I like the size of my flop bet because the board was relatively dry, despite the flush draw so its hard to get value when he doesn't hit the board (or have kings). I also don't like my check on the turn, though I thought the flush coming in was a good scare card for him to bluff with. The river was a misclick. I meant to put him all in. Phone Post 3.0

I actually don't mind the way he played it, except for preflop. Since I'm raising UTG I should be pretty strong so he should try to get me to put in more money before the flop comes and I miss (which will happen most of the time) and shut down. Phone Post 3.0

That's awesome. Great score!

Do you know your overall ROI? Or at least what it was before this win? What is your average buyin?

Honestly I don't know my exact ROI... but I know I have profited 10-12k in 60-65k total cashes. ABI sitting around ~12$ but is only going up, I can't stand playing micro stakes massive MTT's anymore. Getting significantly better lately to a point where I find myself outplaying lots of higher level players so I really like the $22-55 range..

Time to fire up a few tourneys here pretty quick!
