"I don't even want it to be a technical fight. I want to turn it into an all-out brawl. I know right now that's probably what the fans want to see and we can make it the Fight of the Night because we can go in there and brawl it out. I don't have a problem with that at all. Of course I'm gonna beat Cowboy Cerrone. I'm gonna knock Cowboy out."

Melvin's one of those guys that talks about wanting to fight guys who will slug with him, then when he gets an opponent willing to do that (Jeremy Stephens) he potshots and runs away the whole fight.  Melvin is  not going to go to war with Cowboy.

Usually I am a Cerrone fan, but after the Pettis shit-talking I am hoping Melvin knocks him out.

If Cerrone stands with him, he might very well get the KO. Cerrone should just try to get the fight to the ground and submit him, although he probably won't.

I could definately see Melvin knocking out the Cowboy Donald.

My friend LaShawn went to school with Melvin and he says that even back then Melvin had deadly but accurate striking and would be knocking kids out in the playground.

How was Melvin embarrassed against Burkman ? Are you talking about the.switch kick Melvin landed with so much force it broke Burkmans forearm ? Burkman must have thought highly of him, because they teamed up for awhile Phone Post

melvin doesn't deal with adversity well, if at all

it's like once you take him down it's like he isnt a fighter anymore

melvin has never really "gone to war"...cerrone has on several occassions and come back from behind to win

bet the house on Cerrone

Your friend forgot to tell you about the times when any kid with a few months of sprawl training would take his back and RNC him Phone Post

Yes LaShawn also has a few stories of Melvin getting his back taken in the sandpit, but from what I can tell Melvin was still a beast even at 10 years old

Melvin has a lot of faith in his striking coach Henri Hooft. Hooft has done wonders for Michael Jonson. Reem's striking coach is also there according to his twitter. Phone Post

he's like a young smaller Randleman. To thick headed to learn a skill set he's uncomfortable with.
