I'm cut, but less and less people get that done now. Completely unnecessary from the research I've seen... Phone Post

Ya check the studies. I would if I had a son. Circumcised guys are significantly less likely to contract certain stds. Also of note was one study that took grown African men and circumcised them. Over the years that followed, they were less likely to get aids, like in the other studies. However, this study also interviewed the men's sex partners, and - this is what was most surprising - the women all said that they preferred the newly circumcised parts over the old ones. The study authors hypothesized that it was simply the change that was exciting for the women. So sex isn't better with one or the other, but there are better health outcomes for cut ones. Phone Post

I read into it a couple years ago when we were trying to get pregnant, so things might have changed. You know how that goes. Skew the stats a different way to get the results you wanted anyway, right? Then again, op wasn't really asking about the science - he wanted opinions from experience. Oops. Phone Post

Chasingtail - Not being circumcised increases the chance of penile cancer and STDs. It used to be a religious practice that is now a hygienic practice. I suggest you circumcise him for his own good. Phone Post
This is what I always thought it was. I have also gone out with girls who said that uncircumsized penis smells. Phone Post

amadeus - Well I'm not a chick but a friend of mine who is told me a story once about her first (and maybe only) encounter with an uncircumcised dude... They were making out and she was all ready to make with the sex until she saw he wasn't cut. She freaked out and said she basically ran outta the house.

The way she told it was much funnier but you get the point...
Yeah...your friend is definitely a big bitch.

As for the alleged increase in STD's thing...problem solved by washing your dick.

They have in fact done studies showing that uncut penises are more enjoyable to women, on average. You got double stimulation going on (your head and your foreskin), and most girls I've been with have been very happy with me, and I'm uncut. Anyway, I'm personally not a fan of dick mutilation for cosmetic reasons...and best I can tell all of these ridiculous studies about why cut is better than uncut are just done with insecure circumcised American scientists. Peace! Phone Post

Don't care but would not circumsize my own child if I were going to have one. You're essentially robbing him of nerves and sensation by chopping on his dick for aesthetic purposes. Unless a kid actually needs a circumcision for medical reasons or you're Jewish, there is no reason to do it.

So for aesthetic purposes you would prefer a cut penis?

ishfwilf - Supposedly it is healthier to get the cut. You should focus more on the health and do research rather then what women think. Phone Post
My dermatologist told there idly is extremely rare for a circumcised male to have penile cancer. Almost all cases are with uncircumcised men.

What did you end up doing? Phone Post

Having two kidneys increases your risk of getting kidney cancer. If you get one removed, you literally halve your chances.

Likewise lungs. Getting one removed halves your chances of getting lung cancer.

And actually, having a brain drastically increases your chances of getting a brain tumour. Best get that removed too. Phone Post
Wow, that was an uneducated response. Phone Post

If you did not understand, Cakegirl very subtly [read: sarcasm] explains how statistics may become manipulated in order to drive the agenda of a few. It's very simple: circumcision is a religious Jewish rite that has entered the American Medical canon because of an influx of Jews in American Medical society. There is no medical indication for circumcision apart from necrosis of tissue. Circumcision is a surgery, and surgeries are particularly lucrative. This is why a urologist will immediately recommend the circumcision. Insurance companies play a role in this price setting, so, of course, the more work done, the more money in the doctor's pocket. Phimosis, or a tight foreskin, can be cured through stretching; i.e., no circumcision is necessary. Of course, the dogma that circumcision is necessary for penile health was demonstrated in [probably rural] African males who have very poor knowledge of hygiene or access to clean water, or even condoms, for that matter. If you do not want your uncircumcised son to get penile cancer, tell him to choose his sexual partners wisely [girls that have verified or documented STDs are out], to absolutely use condoms during trysts with strangers [or avoid altogether], and to not smoke cigarettes [the tar on tobacco, e.g., will easily transfer to the foreskin or glans if one is unhygienic]. If you circumcise your son, you have essentially mutilated him, as circumcised males are a minority on the planet. Of course, this global idea would not appeal to an American. Just listen to what the good doctor has to say.
