Also, if possible I wouldn't mind shaving 150-200 off the price as well. Any help would be appreciated, I'm a first time builder.

If you save enough cash, should look into stepping your GPU up a little so that you get some extra future proofing.

This case is 50 cheaper: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119160

Here's a MB/CPU combo that saves you ~$120 (the mb may be a slight step down)

Fatwallet usually has a couple deals that you can use in putting your build together.

Also, search amazon when you have your parts figured out, sometimes they're a better deal.

Lastly, check out the forums on tom's hardware, they're a great resource for building.

I post this link every time someone asks about a new PC; the OP has parts lists and prices for various price levels:  http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=455869

Your Newegg pc is about equivalent to the $775 build in that thread.

Damn, thanks for that link. My son has decided he wants to build a gaming computer, and this is just what I came here looking for. Time well spent.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help.

Once I put together my system I'll post it here to make sure it's all compatible. I'm pretty clueless with hardware. Is there anything aside from the parts I'll need to order to do the build? Other than thermal paste?
