Just read the pullup thread pretty awesome! Got me thinking, anybody want to see who the best 2 or 3 mile run time is using an app tracker? That doesn't mean use your truck hahahaha. I can do mid 13 min mark for 2 miles, pretty slow but oh well. I will post up this saturday with a better effort. I use www.endomondo.com on my iphone. The elevation changes are up/down 75 ft on my route. Flatter ground the better, but no all downhill crap.

Oh yah,34 yrs old.

EDIT: added bonus contest: as many miles as you can stack from oct 1st to oct 31st.

Post up!

hmmmm.....I guess we could say turkey day would be the last day,so november 22 would be a good day. Gives plenty of time i think. I just started running again myself.

I guess total amount of miles could be a contest too with the added bonus of rough terrain.

Man theres nothing like running! It feels great and my cardio gas tank has gotten much deeper plus i can see my abs again hahaha. I used to do wind (ladders) sprints in the sand a few years ago coupled with running and WOW! Both of those things helped tremendously.

 Best of luck cmx!

Why two miles, and not a 5K?

I could be in. Last 1.5 mile test I did was in a shade over 9 minutes. My current goals are geared towards long, continuous 12-hour efforts though, so I wouldn't be surprised if that has gone down and continues to go down.

I don't know...... maybe it would be easier since not everybody runs, but a 5k (3) mile time contest will work also.

Just post your best 2 or 3 miler.

18:07 best 3 mile time. I've never timed a 2 mile run, and haven't been running at all in the last 6 weeks.

22 minutes is an awesome time. Anything in the 7:00/mile range is impressive.

Disagree and I hang with a lot of "runners" and participate in plenty of races. 22 is WAY above average.

I did 4miles on a fairly flat road this summer in 29mins. It has been about 5 years since I pushed it on a run and I was about 2.5 months out from a major stomach surgery. I didn't feel very good after though and I was quite sore for a couple of days after.

If you have any good phone that loads apps try endomondo.com You don't need a iphone. No time like the present to get better at running right? Best natural high there is!

REI has a gps watch for 150 i heard, works if you cycle, run, hike or whatever, pretty cool.
