vermonter - I'd be in, except i don't have an iphone and i suck at running. My best 5k is like, 30 mins.

If you have any good phone that loads apps try endomondo.com You don't need a iphone. No time like the present to get better at running right? Best natural high there is!

REI has a gps watch for 150 i heard, works if you cycle, run, hike or whatever, pretty cool.

Oh i love running, don't get me wrong. I just have a shitty build to be a decent runner, and wouldn't beat 419 if you gave me a year and he stopped running altogether.

Adventure Runner -
419 - 22 is mediocre for a 160 pound 'athlete.'

Disagree and I hang with a lot of "runners" and participate in plenty of races. 22 is WAY above average.

correct. 22mins for 5k is very good for any athlete who is not a dedicated runner. the only way that time would be considered mediocre would be if the person is a competitive runner. but for anyone who competes in another sport or just stays fit its very good.

My normal run that I do about 3 times a week.
Distance 10.4 km
Time 56:50 min
Avg pace 5:28 /km

I started running a few months ago. Started doing 5k distance and then bumped up to 10k. Now I'm running
10k at a faster pace then I was doing 5k. Probably step up to half marathon soon but I'm happy to try and get faster and faster with my 10ks. I'm 6'2" and went from 245 to 215lbs and still going down. Phone Post

Congrats on running and losing weight! Keep it up! That average pace with (km) threw me off. :)

This is a run I did the other day. I have done 44 miles ,which is nothing, since Oct 1st. I have a sheriff pt test tomorrow and saturday or I would be running more. 8.2 miles is my longest run and I got my 3 miler down to 22 minutes!!

Look up Ed Whitlock. 81 years old just did a marathon in 3h 30 min! That's about an 8 min/mi pace!

That's sick. My distance running pace is 10-11 minute miles, and I'm not 81. ;)
