Best Team in the NFL: Houston Texans - Most complete team in the NFL top to bottom. Their only perceived weakness is being too nice to win by 30+ when the opportunity arises. Big Poppa Kubiak is a nice guy and he wouldn't hurt the kids on the other team's feelings.

Offensive MVP - Matt Schaub. That guy is tough as nails, throwing high level lazer darts to his teammates and is showing the NFL he is capable of LEADING the greatest team ever assembled in the year 2012!!!

Defensive MVP - JJ.... WATT!!! JJ is on pace for 30 sacks this year... as a 3-4 DE. But that's not all, he is a playmaker against the run, if he doesn't get the quarterback he will SWATT the ball down and give the poor sap a Dikembe Mutombo finger wag for his efforts. A lot of players are given the credit of having a "nonstop motor"... JJ Watt is the real energizer bunny.

These awards are not up for debate. These are the official first quarter NFL awards this season. How's taste the Houston Texans' big peepee NFL?!

Houston needs to play some teams that are actually good. The only decent team they beat was the Broncos, and they only beat them by 6 points. Miami, Jacksonville, and Tennessee are not what I would consider quality wins. Unfortunately, they get the Jets this week so we still won't know how good they really are. They are in probably the weakest division in the entire NFL this season.

Their opponents' combined records (not including games vs Houston) are 5-7. If you include the games vs Houston, the combine records are 5-10. After the Jets they get Green Bay and Baltimore back to back, so that will be interesting.

419 - Nobody remembers who wins the first quarter.

Except that only one team that was 0-4 at the end of the first quarter has ever made the playoffs: The 1992 Chargers.

So basically this is a "I love the Texans" thread?

They are good, but c'mon man!

If the Texans proved anything last year, it's that they have the mental toughness to overcome injuries to key players.

As long as Schaub and JJ Watt are healthy this team will prevail....

PS: I forgot JJ isn't healthy... he's playing with a dislocated elbow! So just Schaub staying healthy! haha Phone Post

It's possible to not win the first quarter and also not be 0-4.
