It's been talked about how the winner of this fight will join Junior Dos Santos, Cain Velasquez, Daniel Cormier, Fabricio Werdum and the suspended Alistair Overeem as part of what would be the big six of the division.

"Between me and him, we've created our own level," said Browne, whose first-round knockout over Stefan Struve looks even more impressive this week when it comes to who would be the next guy to join the elite group. "The only thing left ahead of us are the top five."

"I think out of the guys in the top ten, I'm probably the scariest one of them," he said. "My size is a danger, my power and my athletic ability. I think I pose the most danger in that division. Cain, with his grinding ability, he's the one who for me poses the biggest threat."

I don't really disagree with any of that. The guy has the size and speed to be as good as anyone. He's just got to be careful because the HW's are all specialists. Each of the "big 5" are head and shoulders above him at 1 thing. Phone Post

On paper...maybe not. However, I think because all of those guys are specialists you know what to expect from them all. Cain's probably the most rounded one, but he still got clobbered when he tried to play JDS's game.

I can see Browne beating Werdum standing. He might not be as technical, but he hits really hard.

Overeem's chin will probably forever be a question mark until one of the top dogs really tags him. That's another possibility.

Cormier is still green. We have yet to see him face adversity or really take a shot.

Browne probably won't ever be champ, but he could potentially beat one of the top 5.

Fix yo gis, tie yo bouts - I think this guy is hugely overrated. Phone Post
I don't think he's rated highly enough. He's unbeaten, destroyed Struve and ran through chad griggs who was highly rated at the time. Phone Post

The current top 5 would maul him. His best shot would probably be against cormier, because of his size but even then i could still cormier cotrolling him on the ground. He definetly has no shot at Werdum, his muay thai is good now so he can stand or he could always go the easier route and sub him.

JDS, Cain, Reem, DC, Werdum... He possibly gets ranked above these killers by beating Bigfoot? Phone Post

Beating Silva does put him in the "elite" category, but he would definitely need more big wins to be put in that "big 6" category.

He does. That was awesome and I don't want to take anything from big foot but that fight would have been different if he didn't blow his knee out. I still think silva would have won but you never know. Phone Post

It's ridiculous to declare anything about him after blowing his knee out while it not being caused by his opponent. Everything that happened afterward is irrelevant to his prospects.

What is with this disconnect with MMA people that a blown knee shouldn't effect your athletic performance. You're immediately getting carted off in other sports and out for a year. If you don't have your knee you have nothing as an athlete. How does he hit an opponent with any kind of power, avoid shots, get TD's, and get up from the ground after that happens? You can't.

At this point Browne is Mitrione version 1.5. A guy with a lot of potential, but at his point in the UFC's heavyweight division, you're a either contender or gatekeeper. Silva has appeared to be chinny at time times, dancing around the ring and throwing sidekicks to the knee isn't going to exploit that.

It was far from a complete fight. If fights ended after a round Chael would have won back to back fights with Anderson Silva and be MW champ right now.
