I think it really boiled down to the fact he was basically all that was left when Rock, Stone Cold, Foley and others called it quits. HHH is good, but that's a damn big drop off.

Then the fact that he had so many short and pointless feuds there for a while, where he always went over.

Had his ass all over TV when he was a non-active/limited schedule wrestler, married the bosses daughter and got put on top because of it, limited skill set since injury in 2001, huge nose, same long winded promos.

I honestly consider Hunter circa 2000 to be one of the GOAT heels. He was pure gold that year. Phone Post

Heel Triple H feuding with the Rock in 2000 was one of my favorites. Trips played such a great piece of shit to the Rock who was ridiculously over at the time.

But he plays a horrible babyface now and his "retirement" speech was some self centered bullshit. The "you tapped out" chants at SS were hysterical. Phone Post

I loved Trips during his reign of doom. I was like 12 and thought he was a beast. Then I turned 13 and discovered dirt sheets Phone Post

He's a very strong talent that is called a legend because of his relationship with management. That's why he gets hate. You don't need anymore reason. Phone Post

i didn't have a huge problem with him until i heard the london/kendrick story about him giving them the pedigree for no reason just to bury them on tv.
