During a segment on FUEL TV's "UFC Tonight," on air correspondent Ariel Helwani talked about a conversation he had with Griffin, directly after he received the news of his cancelled bout with Sonnen.

"Forrest doesn't know. I actually just spoke to him, moments ago. He said he just found out about the news, as well. He doesn't know if he'll still fight on the UFC 155 card at the end of the year, but he did have a couple interesting things to say Chael. He said, 'I don't blame Chael for taking this fight. Why work your way to the top, if you can talk your way to the top?' And he did say, somewhat jokingly, 'I'm actually glad that I'm not fighting him now, because watching his fights was so boring and tedious.'"

Call it "sour grapes," but Griffin is saying what a lot of other fans and pundits are thinking. Some have even come out voicing their opinion that the UFC's handling of the situation has set a bad precedent for the future.

It was just a perfect storm for this to happen, hard to blame Dana

Dan had title shot got hurt
Rematch was rescheduled, Jones gets injured and delays things
Can't hold Dan out that long he has already been out for long
Use that time to promote a show with an injured Jones and the best tv personality they have.

If Jones didn't get injured this wouldn't have happened

If I was forrest I'd be pissed off too, this fight has been on and off like three times. It's disrespectful to a guy that brought mma to the mainstream IMO Phone Post

I feel for Forest, and more for Jon Fitch! We have a bunch of athletes/martial artists that are being overlooked for entertainers.

Were one fixed fight scandal away from UFC being considered as bad as boxing.

So, in essence, it is Victor's fault? Phone Post

Griffin should fight Bonnar one last time, then both should retire.

Sonnen fight would have been pointless anyhow.

I agree with you there.  Nothing really left for either guy, one more go round.

This coming from the guy who made us watch him lay on top of another 185'er... Rich Franklin.

Forrest is such a delusional jerk. He's the last guy that should be complaining about being boring.

He lay and prayed Rich Franklin cuz he couldn't actually outfight him. He pointfighted his way to BS decisions he didn't deserve against Rampage and Tito with his weak taps that don't even do damage. Chael is definitely more entertaining in the cage. Forrest hasn't been in an entertaining fight in years.
