From the Alan Cross website:

As the resident head of the Dept of Nerd, I really felt I had to share this with you. A few years ago, Alan Moore (writer of Watchmen, V for Vendetta) wrote a graphic novel for his Victorian super team, The League of Extraordinary Gentleman (yes, they based a movie off this one too and it's nothing like the comics) called The Black Dossier.

It was supposed to come with a record recording that would tie into the events of the book. We never saw it over here due to the original publisher DC Comics (and their parent company Time Warner) getting a little bit of cold feet due to possible copyright infringement (a few executives noticed a few similarities to a few different songs) which they were already worried about due to the appearance of a few not-so-public-domain characters.

But the song did make it out eventually on vinyl in the UK. That's Mr. Moore himself on vocals.
