Nor Cal where flood/earthquakes would be the disaster of choice, I'm looking to store supplies (water, food, first aid, etc) away from the house and shop (metal) in case of damage/collapse (might not be able to get inside). I'm thinking a small shed in the shade to house water barrels and supplies. To prevent water damage, I would like to use watertight containers the size of your typical large Rubbermaid type bin/container (2'x2' approx). Looking for suggestions. Thanks.

I figured it out. 5 gallon buckets with Gamma lids. Seems like a cheap fix for miscellaneous food and supply storage that you want to keep air/water tight.
