Ten bouts, including the heavyweight main event between Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski of Minsk, Belarus and KO artist Devin Cole of Medford, Ore. were made official today for the first-ever World Series of Fighting  Mixed Martial Arts event Saturday, Nov. 3, at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, live on NBC Sports Network.

Main Card
265 lbs.: Andrei Arlovski (247) vs. Devin Cole (249)
205 lbs.: Anthony Johnson (205) vs. D.J. Linderman (205.5)
135 lbs.: Miguel Torres (135.5) vs. Marlon Moraes (135)
170 lbs.:Gregor Gracie (170) vs. Tyson Steele (170.5)
205 lbs.: Travis Bartlett (208) vs. Tyrone Spong (205)

Prelim Card:
170 lbs.: Josh Burkman (170) vs. Gerald Harris (170.5)
155 lbs.: Brian Cobb (155.5) vs. Ronys Torres (155)
155 lbs.: Gesias Cavalcante (156) vs. T.J. O'Brien (155.5)
170 lbs.: Steve Carl (171) vs. Ramico Blackmon (170.5)
185 lbs.: Dave Branch (185) vs. Dustin Jacoby (186.5)

Submission specialist Brian Cobb (left) and rising star Ronys Torres (right) engage each other in a tense staredown after weighing in for their lightweight (155 pounds) matchup.


he matchup between power punching Travis Bartlett (left) and world kickboxing champion Tyrone Spong, who will make his highly-anticipated MMA debut, will go on despite the fact that Bartlett weighed in at 207 pounds, one pound over the allowance for the scheduled light heavyweight (205 pounds) matchup.


In a battle between submission experts, Tyson Steele (left) will square off with Gregor Gracie (right) at welterweight. 


Two-time national Muay Thai champion Marlon Moraes (left) and former world champion and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Miguel Torres (right) will duke it out in a bantamweight (135 pounds) contest. 


In the co-main event, light heavyweight (205 pounds) stars D.J. Linderman (left) and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (right) will both put three-fight winning streaks on the line.


Heavyweight stars Devin Cole (left) and Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski (right) will face off in the first-ever World Series of Fighting main event.

A scheduled preliminary card featherweight (145 pounds) matchup between Fabio Mello and Waylon Lowe was scrapped due to an injury sustained by Mello.

The live NBC Sports Network telecast of the World Series of Fighting event will begin at 10:30 p.m. EST/7:30 p.m. PST.

The live, free-of-charge stream of the first three undercard bouts will begin at 7:45 p.m. EST/4:45 p.m. PST.

In the light heavyweight (205 pounds) co-main event, hard-hitting superstar Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (13-4) of Boca Raton, Fla. will face off with fellow sensation D.J. “Da Protégé” Linderman (14-3) of Yreka, Calif. 

In other main card action, bantamweight (135 pounds) submission wizard Miguel Angel Torres (40-5) of East Chicago, Ind. will lock up with two-time national Muay Thai champion and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt Marlon Moraes (8-4-1) of Jupiter, Fla. via Nova Friburgo, Brazil.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Gregor Gracie (7-2) of New York, N.Y. via Rio de Janeiro, Brazil will face off with red-hot prospect Tyson Steele (9-1) of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, CA in a welterweight (168 pounds) contest.

The MMA debut of kickboxing phenom Tyrone Spong (0-0) of Boca Raton, Fla. via Amsterdam, Netherlands, will go on as planned despite the fact that Spong’s opponent, power puncher Travis Bartlett (7-2) of Bangor, Maine, failed to make weight.  Barlett weighed in at 207 pounds, one pound over the allowance for the scheduled light heavyweight (205 pounds) matchup.

Streaking Ronys Torres (25-4) of Manacapuru, Amazonas, Brazil will meet dangerous submission specialist Brian “The Bandit” Cobb (19-7) of Bakersfield, Calif. in a lightweight (155 pounds) tilt. 

Josh Burkman (23-9) of Salt Lake City, Utah will battle fellow star Gerald “Hurricane” Harris (21-4) of Tulsa, Okla. at welterweight on the preliminary card. 

Seasoned warrior Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante (16-6-1) Deerfield Beach, Fla. by way of Brazil will take on submission expert T.J. O’Brien (19-5) of Prole, Iowa at lightweight.

I once wrote a blog on the UFC forums about an org like that. I called it G.A.S.P. the Geriatric Action Sports Partnership. It was in response to Kimbo fighting a fully gray Tank Abbott and big Tim getting KO'd by Mercer. At the time I though it was clever then I joined the UG and found out how lame I really was. My predictions
Arlovski will tko Cole in the 2nd itll look a lot like the Nelson fight

Rumble will win the fight of the night in a close decision maybe even a split Linderman is tough

Torres will win submission 3rd round

Steele upsets Gracie with a decision victory

Spong tko 1st rnd over Barlett

Harris decisions Burkman

R.Torres decision Cobb

JZ tkos Obrien 2nd rnd
