I'm half way. It's great.

I still miss 24-7, it's a different vibe. The music, the narrator, the 45 minute episode. Phone Post 3.0

Oh shit and Guerrero's dad talking about Floyd bitching about his 30 days and how he did his time in general pop not in PC with the snitches. And how he'll beat Floyd Sr's ass LOL. Floyd responded in the next segment.

WBC 154-pound champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is under fire in Mexico. Canelo is already in San Antonio for Saturday's unification with WBA champion Austin Trout at the Alamodome.

However, authorities in Jalisco have requested that an arrest warrant be issued against Canelo and his brother Juan Ramón Alvarez.

On Tuesday, the Attorney General of the State of Jalisco move forward with the case related to the alleged crimes against boxer Ulises 'Archie' Solis. In the case of Canelo's brother, he is being charged with makng false statements to local authorities about the incident.

Canelo allegedly approached and gave a vicious beating to Solis, a former junior flyweight champion, on October 25, 2011. Solis suffered a broken jaw and lost several teeth from the beating. He required several surgeries and was stripped of his IBF due to inactivity.

Canelo has denied the allegations and said his brother was the actual person involved in the incident with Solis.

Barry/forum - provided Floyd hasn't aged dramatically since last May, does Guerrero have a realistic shot? I've seen his fights against Berto and Katsidis, but other than that I'm not too familiar with him. He seems to me like a slower, smaller version of Ortiz (albeit with more heart). Am I wrong?

Lol funny you ask that. I started my Guerrero post about 20 mins ago but got distracted, and just hit post now.

I don't think he does, but I don't know nearly as much about boxing as some of the vets on this thread.

you hit it perfect with the Ortiz comparison...brings a lot of pressure with more heart and a good chin.

Yea me either. Been out of it for awhile. Since Roy Jones went down hill. I missed the all.access tonight hopefully it gets uploaded soon Phone Post

It's hard, man. It took me a good 2 and half years of watching MMA to feel like I really knew what I was talking about, and MMA/UFC is so much easier to follow than boxing.

I know enough about the bigger name fighters, but beyond that I'm pretty much lost. If you asked me for an opinion on a guy like Orlando Salido I'd have no idea what to say.

Still, there's something about high-level boxing that MMA just can't match.

Re: Compubox stats - I remember Kellerman saying something about how because Mayweather so rarely gets hit cleanly to the face, they often count glancing blows when they wouldn't have done so for another fighter.

I know i'm late but this ^^^ is so true. I'm always thinking this when watching Floyd fight. He slips so well while keeping himself in position to counter quickly. As opposed to dodging a punch and being off balance. I think it hurts him with the judging.

I didn't break down much of the fight. Got home late from work, so here are my thoughts.

Very close fight. I agree with another poster above. Rd by rd I think Floyd wins it but Castillo looked better overall as far as winning rds decisively. I have no problem with a draw.

Compubox stats looked way off for me. Floyd doesn't get enough credit for his lead/leaping left hook. He threw it hard in this fight. That, his body jab and right cross were excellent in this fight. When Floyd started using his shoulder roll and footwork in about the 8th he looked like the Floyd I'm used to seeing.

Castillo was very patient and it paid off. I thought his hooks to the body and uppercut looked great. When he started to put his punches together around the 5th or 6th, really started to give Floyd trouble. Really outworked Floyd for most of the fight.

11th rd was my favorite. Some good flurries by each fighter at the end of several rds. I see how each could have stolen many close rds that way.

Good analysis. I'm glad you agree with me re: Floyd winning rounds but Castillo looking like the better overall fighter. Castillo really did create the blueprint on how to beat PBF (at least at the time), and was a tough puzzle for Mayweather to crack. Even in the second fight, which Floyd definitely won, Castillo gave him a lot of problems and it was a close fight (funnily enough the scorecards were closer in the second fight than the first).

It was crazy seeing Roger telling Floyd to go out there and punch with him in the 11th round. I think that's the only time he's ever encouraged him to do that, and it shows that Floyd's corner was definitely nervous.
