the only guy I see beating Vitali is Haye right now, well has the best potential too. That would lead to the shittiest rematch ever lol.

What about Fury?  LOL.

Do you think Wladdy will end up fighting him?  Doesnt seem like Fury/Haye is gonna happen cause Fury wants 80 percent of the split.

WOuld like to see Wladdy beat up Fury.

Fury asking for 80% is one of the most ridiculous things ever Phone Post 3.0

The WBA, WBO and IBF allow unified champions.

The WBC makes the fighter keep their belt and drop the others. Or keep the other belts and drop theirs.

that's Sulaiman for you lol...lol at Fury, he'd duck Wladdy, ask for 50% against him.

what a dream fight of mine, a prime Arthur Abraham at 160 vs GGG, just a couple of Goodboys throwing leather.

My notes from this evening

1.) Elevator on the way in - Demetrius Andrade (wished him well in his next Showtime bout, I don't do pictures, they have a night ahead of them as well)

2.) Walking out in the middle of Willie Nelson fight, there's Golovkin's mom walking in, I wished Gennady good luck, and said "I hope he gets the knockout", which was met with ZERO english. A smile and a japanese head bow........LOL!

3.) Paulie Malignaggi got serious love from CT

4.) Dan O'connor has a great fan base, that even comes with a drunkenly slurred obnoxious "He's tough, he's strong, he'll break your fucking jaw!" .........repeated until it pissed everyone from Kazak off so bad they defeaned the place for GGG

5.) Got to laugh histerically at Buddy McGirt, personally going around to every judge after the fight to tell them what a bad job they did (When he shook his head at Julie Lederman I almost lost it laughing

6.) In typical MGM @ foxwoods fashion, you leave that fuckin theatre with NO sight and NO hearing, cop wishes me a good night......I can't understand him......Cop becomes legit pissed when I asked him to repeat himself a couple times and ends my night with 'HAVE A GOOD FUCKING NIGHT'

You know I'm on it if Mike Buffer is laying down the 'lets get ready to rumble'. I'm also amazed at how many people have viewed the video in a matter of 10min

Barry.......

That was the first time English/NE fans didn't stand a fucking chance. I've never heard anyone deaf out a place like Gennady's fans did tonight chanting what I assume was his name in Kazakh. Mike Buffer said it himself, the highest KO ratio of all active champions.

Hearing him hit is something else to describe. The body shot ripped through the theatre, to the point that absolutely nobody dared boo Mack. Everyone in the audience who knew what a body shot could do was cringing the rest of the night, and I was hearing all about it a half hour later in the elevators. I've only really seen one other person right now who's got that serious head snapping back like a log just slammed into it power, and that's Lucas.

If a road can end ideally in Lucas moving up in the road of 10lbs, and another set of big wins for both. It'd be nice to see two of the new age clear out the smoke in a high magnitude fight

Oh and I forgot the funniest part of my night.

Walking into the bathroom to find a bunch of English Macklin fans at the urinals with one of them shaking each one while they pissed while screaming 'THERES ONLY ONE RICKY HATTON'

Most Shameful part of my night.

Watching Willie Nelson go through a tough fight, he holds in the final round and gets a questionable decision......the same fans that cheered him so hard on the way in........smashed him with epic boos on the way out. The whole section stood up as he exited the ring to just murder him on his way out, was sad.

back in my drinking days, I would of loved to run around the arena singing there's only one Ricky Hatton with those Brits.

like I mentioned earlier, Willie has potential, but he's IQ will be his down fall...like Jermaine and Dawson.

Well, speaking of running around the arena drunk here's another good one.

Upon initially walking in, two O'Connor fans ask the ticket courier if they can walk around with the irish flag and chant for O'Connor (this is after we've established the booming 'break your fucking jaw' chant). She leans over to ask security "They want to run around chanting for their fighter with the Irish flag, can we allow that?"

to which the Cop replies, "Where are they?"........she shows them to the Cop. Cop asks "What do you two geniuses want to do?". They reply "We want to walk around and chant for Danny through the theatre".

Cop comes in with "Great, you want to run around piss drunk right now and escalate the New Mexican and Kazakh fans who are chanting?". This earns a "No, we will be respectful". In comes the Cop with the finalizer "Son, you will earn a respectful jumping if you take your chants in the face of the Kazakh fans down there, and probably a stabbing from the New Mexican ones. Sit down".

To their credit they tried again later at the bottom of our section and almost got a couple couriers to let them do it.

and oh no Barry, O'Connor certainly deserves his justice. His fans were in numbers for sure and had some good volume in their chants, not just family either. Met his Aunt and Uncle on the slot machines before the fights and they were super nice people. He himself was certainly a good dude, he needs alot of technique work but his potential is high for sure.

*edited again* - They also had some sweet irish green O'Connor shirts and came in the place repping my favorite city. Boston.

Okay, I'll give a couple of thoughts about the Top Rank show at the Winstar Casino last night. I didn't get out and about because I sat in the technical zone and seats aren't necessarily guaranteed in there. If you're in there, sometimes it's best to stay in your seat the longest you can so that you don't lose it.

1. Marroquin probably has an injured knee. The second time he was knocked down in the first round, he really torqued it. Didn't think he'd be able to finish out ten rounds, but he did and he made a fight of it. Good call by the judges. Didn't expect the other guy, Daniel Diaz from Nicaragua, to get a fair shake but he did. Marroquin is probably starting the slow slide to fringe challenger if he wasn't there already.

2. Tramaine Williams is a name to remember. He was the most impressive fighter on the card, imo. I think he can make some waves in the 118-122 range in the future.

3. I wasn't particularly impressed by Brad Solomon. He doesn't have great power or speed or technique, yet he tries to be a Mayweather-clone. It works against the guys he's fighting now, but I don't think it'll work much longer as he moves up the ladder.

4. Winstar Casino is a strange place, imo. I don't know how to describe it but it's just weird that this gigantic place is built out in the middle of nowhere and is so fucking packed with all these people who are willing to smoke and gamble until 3 a.m. or later. The fights went from 8 until midnight and we walked around a bit after the fights to wind down. The place was completely packed and strained to capacity with all these weird people who were very zombie-like.

5. Lupe Contreras is a solid fight announcer. Nothing particularly flashy or show-stealing about him. He told me that he is the voice-over guy for a commercial in Nevada for some ex-fighter who was on The Contender who is now a practicing lawyer.

That's all right now from Thackerville, Oklahoma.
