People that get offended about racial comments and jokes are usually the most racist. Vote me down if you want but carry on with your life as I'll do with mine. Phone Post 3.0
I didn't vote u down dude, I honestly couldn't care less, I just thought it was a strange thing to say. Fuck it, we don't want to change the tone of the thread, forget about it.

I read an interview with Abel Sanchez today that said GGG always had his way with that LW guy that just beat Cleverly, what's his name Koluev?

I know he's a bit smaller than Ward but that's who I'd love to see him against. Martinez is on the decline and I don't think Floyd needs to prove anything against someone like him. Phone Post 3.0

I read that interview and Sanchez said Kovalev was afraid of GGG or respected him too much as he just fell apart in the ring so they could not use him as a sparring partner. Kovalev with John David Jackson now so you wonder how much of those comments are bitterness...

Reports are that GGG dropped Kovalev several times. So maybe there is some truth to what Sanchez is saying.

EEKS - Anyone catch Dominic Cruz hanging out with Floyd in episode 2?
Anyone know the story behind Dominic being there? Perhaps he's just a big Floyd fan? Phone Post 3.0

I'm going to miss Mayweather face-off episodes

I wanted Martinez and Chavez to start fighting on the set.

I often wonder about those gym reports.. If you believe Floyd Snr, has inside info that the guys Canelo is sending home with his sparring are all lightweights.

Former WBA LHW Champ Lou Del Valle was also former sparring partner of RJJ and claimed there was nothing separating him and Roy in the gym. But RJJ totally schooled him for 12 rounds when belts were on the line and there was crowd watching.

Who knows. Makes for interesting reading though.

In fairness, fighters generally work on their weaknesses in sparring. So its easier to look "bad" Phone Post

Another point on holding your own in sparring, much easier to stay with the champ when you're fresher because you're only doing 2 - 4 rounds with him before rotating out and another fresh sparring partner jumps in. Much different when you've got to pace yourself for the whole fight and he's got more time to pick apart your habits, speed, power & timing. Phone Post

They were discussing his hand issues during the Hatton/FMJ 24/7, he does have a tendency of hurting his hand, which you saw during the Guerrero fight. I think which some fail to realize, the importance of the rope work, the looser the ropes, the better for Floyd, he's going to be shoulder rolling and and using the ropes as leverage to give himself enough space for openings.

Don't be surprised if you see Floyd walking Canelo down like he's down in past few figjts...He doesn't have the cardio and can't box well off his back foot.

lol sorry, hard to type from the tablet sometimes...Canelo fights in spurts and doesn't have the cardio to be pushed...Floyd's gonna box early then attack from the mid rounds on. If you watched Floyd in his recent fights, Mosley, Guerrero, Cotto and Ortiz he was walking them down late.

KJ, I remember you telling me you were either practicing boxing or becoming a bigger fan as of recent, hang around and discuss brosef . I'm with Bonds on letting Mayweather come to you. If you watch alot of Floyd Sr interviews that seems to be what he wants with Alvarez. "That's what gon' happen, he gon' gas out, then Floyd bout to come see him" - Sr voice. I don't see Alvarez having enough skills to keep Floyd off of him for 12 and if he doesn't catch him early they say being in there with no gas and and an opponent with a bigger skillset is bad news.

I'm interested to see what happens if Floyd goes to the inside at all. Alvarez is a strong combo puncher and he punches with alot behind it and all the way through the target. Who knows what could happen in a tight exchange even though Floyd has the faster hand speed.

Lastly I remember Floyd's hands being an issue back when the Pacquiao negotiations were hot. When Floyd was complaining of performance enhancers, the Pacquiao camp at one point shot back with the Lidocane shots Floyd received in his hands and were asking 'What else did you get'? if I remember correctly.

I'm just glad Alvarez is handling the promo alot better than Ortiz. They don't even have to cut his scenes so he doesn't say too much and go full retard.

I've always thought there was more to these 12-18 month lay-offs than letting the Division kill each other...

If Floyd KO's Canelo that'd be HUGE for him!

Say Floyd wins, who will he face for the remaining few fights of his contract?

I think a DLH rematch is sell-able with the split decision. Win or Lose I still want to see the Pacquiao fight personally depending on how Pac Man does with Rios. If Matthysse stays exciting maybe him as well.

Do you think Pac Man has lost his bargaining thunder all-together?

Bonds is the man you want to talk with about the Pacquiao financial troubles, he dropped me the articles and such on them. I'm not sure where his finances are today. Roach is still the head trainer, and from what I hear Ariza is out.

Floyd's hand problems have been there for a long time, but I think KJ is right in that this is the first time we've seen Floyd and his hand doctor. It may very well have been put on TV on purpose though knowing Mayweather imo.

I honestly couldn't predict the numbers of a DLH rematch. It all depends on the fans recieval of another DLH comeback. One fight I really want to see is Alvarez vs Ortiz to see the battle of DLH's children.

They showed Floyd visiting a hand specialist and even getting treatments on them in an old 24/7 episode. The Doctor even went on and on about what a pleasant guy Floyd was and how he was nothing like his tv persona.

like others mentioned, Matthysse will be next...the Mexican fans will be rooting for Lucas because he's fighting a puerto rican, and he'll come out looking like a million bucks with a big KO. This will set up a big fight with Floyd, I could see Khan down the line, maybe even Manny (doubtful), I can't see any Top Rank fighters working with Floyd or GBP. Maybeeeee a Martinez fight.

In the Ricky Hatton 24/7 they showed him with the same hand doctor in her office in LV.

I personally don't think a rematch with Oscar would do well. It shouldn't anyway cos DLH was finished even before the Pac fight.

Pacquaio is still the only WW I see giving Floyd any trouble. I think they'll end up fighting eventually. In fact I think it could happen soon if Manny looks slow but wins against Rios.

I know alot of people love Floyd in this thread & so do I but I always remember a story from one of Floyd's old sparring partners a few years ago, that said  Floyd was waiting for Manny to slow down before he'd fight him.

It could be absolute horseshit  but I believe it. Floyd didn't want any part of the Manny from 08-10. He had every reason not to fight him too as I don't think Manny was 100% clean. Having said that, I don't think Floyd was either.
