Lots of people were talking about Condit "picking" on GSP's repaired knee, and as we can see from the fight, it was not the case.

Were the Chasse kicks dropped/unused because of Condit's role as the main "striker" in the fight? (he didn't have to take away GSP's stance like he did Diaz/Hardy)

Was there a bit of "Budo" coming into play with there being little to none thrown? (I saw a couple attempts)

Some one pull a Jack Slack here and explain why Condit would stay away from such kicks in this fight Phone Post

He tried multiple times, but found nothing but air. Phone Post

GSP had good footwork and simply moved out of the way. Condit attempted quite a few early on, then seemed to give up as he was not connecting at all.

Yep he tried, GSP just did too good a job with his range tonight. Controlled it with his speed, reach and boxing.

Here is one attempt which was actually a bait for a high kick:

To his credit, he was throwing some beautiful combos.

Bloody, but still boss.

Agreed with most guys on here. GSP controlled the striking with his footwork and movement. Those probably would have made him more susceptible to the takedown anyways. His combos were beautiful though, and GSPs striking looked crisp. Phone Post

LilBrockonmychest -

So you thought he was going to "pick on his repaired knee" by throwing oblique kicks to GSP's back leg?  Care to explain how that was going to happen?

Where did I say I thought that? I mentioned other people on UG had said it. Phone Post
